Thanks, I've been to the kibbutz in Ein Gedi five times. Got a car in Tel aviv and just drove there then took day trips to other places. Walked up and down the snake path on Masada three times. Love all the sights to see in Israel!!

Shalom Oren and TODAH for another great video. As for hotel names and “American or international names”. Israel is missing a lot of tourism options since some hotel chains did not keep the standards and lost the chain name. The best example was in 2012, when we stayed at the “Le Meridian” hotel, (now called Leonardo), in Ein Bokek, which is now part of Marriott international hotel chains. Something to keep in mind: international hotel chains have a points structure, where you can stay in hotels world wide using points only. You expect the same quality of service in any country you book, and if you have a high status (like we have), you receive upgrades. Israel used to have Marriott / Starwood hotel chains from Eilat to Tibirias. Sadly, because they did not maintain standards to keep the brand name, they lost it and now have hotels in Tel Aviv and Herzliya . international hotel chains draw worldwide tourists as they can easily book and have great value while exploring israel. Today, the Dead Sea competitor to israel is the Marriott hotel in Jordan. Luxury collection and more affordable. Yes, its not israel, but for tourists could be a deal breaker. I hope someday the Marriott chain will return to the Dead Sea as we enjoyed it.

I enjoyed this video very much. I spent the Passover holidays in Ein Bokek, having booked at the Vert. I was not aware that I would be the only non-Jewish person in the hotel. It was packed with seriously religious families making the most of the holy days. It was very interesting for me to see how people live out their religion. The hotel was fine, but the weather was not. Rain and cold weather kept me from floating. I did enjoy the hotel pool. I came to Ein Bokek on the public transit bus from Jerusalem Central Bus station. Very easy and convenient.

We did a Masada and dead sea day tour with my tel avivian family a few years back. It was May and the weather was mild. We stopped at the archeological sites- qumran -on the way. And we finished our trip with a great humus in a lovely village. Was a memorable day ❤

I would also recommend the Hostel at the entrance road to Masada. You share a bunk bedroom but good modern facilities with a swimming pool at a budget cost. The best thing is that you are right there to go up to Masada early in the morning. You can get there on the bus that goes to Eilat from Jerusalem.

Ill give u some more Infos. I hope ull read it, as the atention span is slowly getting shorter. Why read 3min, when these cud be invested in TikTok. Back to the topic:
We Serbs saved tens of thousands Jews. Serbs died for ur ancestors. Einsteins wife was Serb. For us Israel was a historical friend. Recently u recognized Kosovo & betrayed us. the Jews that were saved by Serb Partisans are ashamed of ur bettayal & are turning in their grave. These were the people that built Israel. Without us binding many German divisions, Germany might have won vs USSR & u probably wudnt exist.
Serbia is also the first country in Europe which adopted a law for restitution of properties of Jewish heirless victims of the Holocaust and pays According to this law, besides this restitution, Serbia will make 950,000 EUR annual payment from its budget to the Union of Jewish Municipalities starting from 2017. Keep in mind we were SAVING Jews and a rather poor country due to endless wars and isolation due to being historicsl friends of Russia.
Seems like our historical friends make us a lot of trouble an abuse our fierce loyality.

cannot wait to be in Israel! As far as names are concerned - the whole world uses Hebrew names, Christians and Muslims alike - so it's a give-and-take - nevertheless, I still would like cities like Caesarea, Tiberias, Ashdod, and Ashkelon to change their names to Hebrew names.

I’m not sure who else to ask, as an American tourist visiting Israel for the first time I would like to visit the Sites of Jericho and Bab edh-Dhra, as well as Petra as well, I’m considering venturing into the West Bank and Jordan but I’m unsure about the logistics of traveling from say Jerusalem into these area.
How difficult would you say this is? And what would you say is the safest and most efficient way to go about this? Should I contact some kind of excursion group that offers transportation coupled with tours?
Edit: Worth mentioning I’ve been dipping into your videos for about a year now as I’ve been considering this trip and you’ve proven to be a valuable asset to planning my trip, thank you so much for all the hard work you put into what you do!

I know you can’t look into the future but do you have a gut feeling and recommendation? I used your Jerusalem your when we went last year and loved it. Highly recommend:)

Oren, really enjoy your videos but you've soured me on this video where you call out the the hotel at the 8:01 mark where you are in essence asking for their monetary assistance in order to pay your mortgage for a review. YOU even mention this in your comments.
Oren, I was in in Israel in April and staying in this very vicinity, not at the hotel you were pitching.
Oren, Please don't cave to money to tell the audience what your experience is in order to "pay my mortgage" (your words.) ie lie.
I toured Masada and the area around, learning many things.

Righteous Among the Nations is an honorific used by the State of Israel to describe non-Jews who risked their lives during the Holocaust to save Jews from extermination by the Nazis for altruistic reasons.
