@@flaviosambruni2503 It was not banned immediately. It was withdrawn by Ecclestone, Brabham's team principal, after 1 race. It was banned for the following season. Ecclestone wanted to be F1 supremo (which he did), so he didn't want to upset the other teams too much & the advantage would have been short lived once other teams copied the design.
