    I tried it doesnt work. the hot water doest rise dramatically . It kinda mix in between. maybe you r using different density (oil or salt )of water to make it work

      It should work, I tried it and it worked. Maybe your waters are too close in temperture? Try using really hot water and almost ice cold water..it should change it.

    Why do cold water and warm water have different densities?

      Bcz cold water not expanded. And hot water will get expanded due to temperature

      It's just the same as a hot air balloon. You fill it with hot air to fly and release it away to descend.
