I've had mine for a week and am totally blown away by this thing. It's a fairly simple pedal but there are thousands of beautiful soundscapes in there. Little tweaks of any knob make big changes. I find myself noodling for hours, just exploring what it can do. Hypnotic is what it is. And seriously addictive. This one will never leave my board. I don't know how I lived this long without THAT sound, but I will never be without it again.
Btw, as good as this demo is, is doesn't even come close to being in the same room with it and feeling it in your gut. Once you know, you'll know.
Strymon killing it! Got mine on order! Thank you Dave Dunsire SW sales engineer!
I'm an acoustic player that is starting to dabble into the idea of pedals. Every time I see a review or demo of this thing, I always have the same thought; it is an instrument. It is an instrument that you play with another instrument. Incredible little thing, truly.
The Cloudburst with a PRS Modern Eagle V through a Fender Deluxe Reverb Amp is the Trifecta of awesome right there!!
I watched the Andertons video, and before I was over, I had this pedal on order. It got shipped today. I hope I get it Sunday!
Strymon got that magic sauce- no two way about it !
Beautiful tones. Phenomenal licks. Very nice indeed. Great video, thanks 🤘
Always the best, most clear demonstrations. Thank You
My Cloudburst came a few days ago....and this is the best pedal I've ever bought... it seems so perfectly suited to the kind of ambient acoustic guitar I play. There's something almost AI like in the way the sound seems to shape itself around what you're trying to create.
At the moment only tried it through my Yamaha steel Silent and a Laney Audiohub 150....which just goes to show you don't have to spend a fortune to get a great sound at home !!.
Just ordered on from SW... Sounds amazing!
So happy with the Blue Sky (and the El Capistan, and the Iridium) - Strymon is making the cream of the crop. Cloudburst is on the way. ; - )
Really nice demo and beautiful tones.. for more interesting tones and playing you might want to sit through Anderton’s RUclips review of the Cloudburst. Definitely liking this pedal.
Very lovely - but I would encourage anyone feeling GAS to try increasing the decay on their existing reverb pedal and playing some slow picked chords first - might be there’s settings you haven’t explored for inspiration yet. 😊
Nah bruh...I gotta spend money
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS! YES!!!!!
This pedal is Amazing!!
This appears to be the ULTIMATE worship unit.
Thats the name of my new band. Ultimate worship unit 😂
I pray you mean amplifier worship
Ordered mine today. Thanks, Sweetwater!
All the vids on cloudburst this is the best
Great Playing Don 🔥
Sounds so good!!!
I be stickin with me BigSky but the CB does the cloud algo beautifully….so does mine incl infinity & freeze hold…
Strymon is headed in the right direction with these smaller less expensive pedals…
Very cool pedal!
Nice Pedal! strymon cloudburst my dream pedal🙏
It's amazing that there are already dozens of videos on this pedal and it isn't even in the stores yet. The big selling points are the Ensemble function and the smaller form factor.
It’s not amazing, you just can’t figure out marketing, it’s quite a simple concept, like a pentatonic box

Sure buddy whatever you say. Back to the basement now.
It sounds really good.
Expression pedal and freeze mode, very nice indeed.
Nice! Strymon made a Neunaber Immerse Mk.II pedal! 😁
Magic ✨
NICE ONE DON!🎸🎸🎸🎸
The PRS is magnificent! Sounds lovely.
Could you consider this a "Best of" simplification of the Big Sky?
Quite the Cloudburst on that PRS!!
I definitely needs one of these.
Very suitable while playing for worship music..
The pedal is nice, but that guitar is amazing!
Hello, I would like to see what it looks like on a classical guitar or a steel guitar. But with real chords so I can understand the dynamics of the effect. I had this doubt!!
Sweet demo.
Great music. Don is the best dressed guitar RUclipsr.
Haven't seen it used on an acoustic yet, perhaps I'll make a video of that.
Curious what you're using to overdrive the signal (Don Carr) (?)
How would this sound running it through an Orange Crush RT20 on the clean channel?
It's just pad sort of things which i can get more or less from my Boss DD-200 and playing with the regular reverbs and delays on Katana.
You could say that of every reverb ever.
Are you running it in an effect loop?
Can the volume of the ensamble be controlled by an expression pedal and/or midi while maintaining the reverb level constant?
Hi, Robert! Thanks for your question. The Expression port controls knob functions on the Cloudburst. Since Ensemble is accessed by a 3 way switch, it’s not variable by external control.

@@sweetwater thanks for the quick response
Hi. Could you explain how this works in stereo when there’s only one input and one output? Thanks!
Hi, MrFuzzleupagus! Thanks for your message, hope you’re well. From the manual:
Equipped with a single TRS input and TRS output jack, the pedal keeps to a compact form factor while still giving you the option to use it in stereo. A dedicated rear panel Input switch allows you to determine the audio routing, selecting between Mono In → Mono Out, Mono In → Stereo Out, or Stereo In → Stereo Out (stereo in and out requires a TRS cable for each jack).

@@sweetwater Thank you! I might have to contact Michael D for more info.
The Instant ECM Records Pedal is finally reality
I’m curious what are opinions of those who use tc infinite or ehx superego…
Tone does a lot if you adjust it.
Sounds fantastic but I'm wondering what kind of stress this is going to put on guitar speakers they're not designed to perform the same as a stereo speaker typically in the past stereo speakers are the ones that received this kind of energy and fluctuations Warehouse guitar speakers for design for a pretty simple frequency response range...
you may be over-thinking this. guitar gear is made to take the most abuse. squealies and dive-bombs, full-on feedback and kicking gear on stage. IMO, guitar monkeyshines would more easily destroy a stereo system which is not designed for crazy transients, 100% clipping and puking of the amps. basically ghost mall summed it up heh.
Can I use non Strymon switch to access freeze feature?
Hello - great question. You do not need the Strymon branded footswitch to access the switching features on this pedal.
Thanks!

6:15-6:40 magnifique!
Best software vst for something similar to this?
How do you do the stereo in and out with only one input/output?
Y cable (TRS) I suspect
The is going to be the next best pedal for church worship pedal boards around the world.
My Dispatch Master may need to start looking over its shoulder.
TAKE MY MONEY! Oh wait, you already did... Now the wait... argh
I think a pedal with shimmer going into this would be killer
No need to have shimmer. Cloud burst produces better than a shimmer
It would be nice if Strymon would make a plugin of this pedal that's affordable.
They have a software version of the BlueSky friend
It's "Kiss From A Rose." Okay, what do I win?
You win a kiss from a guy named ross
glad I'm not the only one who recognised the melody
@@maspesasmasperras5554 pass!
👍
Sounds like my roland gr1 strings
Its Henry Mancini in a box
It's different, but not better.
I worshipboard spidey senses are tingling
Still, Jet Revelation V2 ftw
More like a pad burst. :)
Synth shimmer
This is not Reverb, this is sinth
This will work well on a small board.
Strymon could put all these effects in a single unit like the helix but they keep selling them one by one. I think their are just trying to speak to the pedal purists who:
1. Don't know that Strymon is digital
2. Don't know how to operate helix or fractal
This is literally an algorithm from their Bigsky reverb, just with added ensemble mode. All the sounds of this pedal will likely be in the next generation of Bigsky.
@@RQ3S hmm I meant putting all classes of effects into one unit such as reverb, delay, comp, drive, etc etc. As well as amp sims. And let ppl build virtual rigs. But NYOPE. Buy 69 pedals
@@pb25193 ah, I gotcha. Yeah that would be killer!
too much noise
what ever happened to the good ole spring reverb you dont see that much these days
Strymon has really run out of ideas and now wants us to believe This new reverb represents something new. Ohhh and we have to purchase another external switch to activate the freeze function... so more money to spend... Shame on you.
It’s not only reverb (which is way better than most amp reverbs), & you can get the mini switch used for $35. You can also get good deals on these used, so no need to complain here.
