All aftermarket projectors for these rav4s are dim no matter what bulb you use. I’ve tried different makers along with expensive LEDs, 35, 55 and 75 watt HIds. Yes you need a relay when upgrading to hid. Stock wiring can handle HID power consumption… they will turn on but most times you gotta flick on 4-5 times and will turn off randomly
Very sharp. They really suit the magnetic grey metallic! 3M makes a pretty decent butyl tape for headlights, in the event that these don’t work out, or if you choose to repair your original retrofitted with projectors.
Thank you so much, bought a sh*t box rav4 as my first car and so far there are major issues due to lack of maintenance but after I get those dealt with and a new stereo put in because the cut the wires on the original stereo then I’m getting some headlights so this is going to be a massive help.
Can we get a status update? Most all these Rav4s end up having electrical issues after their headlights are upgraded because the aftermarket lights pull more than the OEM lights. Curious to know if you have had any of those issues yet.
New cars do come with LEDs over HIDs. If u by a quality bulb they’ll last just as long as an HID. Been running them in my WJ everytime I drive day or night.
Currently selling my 3rd gen Tacoma and wanting to downgrade and I have been eyeing this. Can’t wait to see you more mods. I can’t seem to find “off-road or overland bumpers”
I dont consider that a downgrade. 3 gen rav4 with awd v6 are retaining their value. I offered someone full private party price and they declined. They ended up selling it a couple days later.
@@racer7007 yeah I sold my Tacoma, still searching for a 3rd gen RAV4. Really hard to find a decent one that isn’t too expensive. Ideal would be a 2012 rav4 limited v6 awd however can’t find any for sale lol. I’m waiting until September to buy one.
Yes. One light has totally failed and is full of condensation. However for $100 these lights are almost cheaper than the bulbs in them. I’ll get a new set and reseal
Just picked up a 2011 Rav4... These headlights will be the first Mod 😃
Fantastic video & fantastic channel🙌
Keep up the great work and Happy 2024!!
Thank you very much!

Never thought a RAV4 could look good 👍👍
Thank you!! These cars are so underrated
@@CoolGuyClub hard to call one of the most purchased vehicles in history an underrated car😂
You’ve convinced me, not touching my headlights
Smart man

LEDs should always outlive HIDs by a huge margin...upwards of 4 fold and higher
Oh man
While you had the bumper off, you should’ve put some Hella super tone horns in there !!!!
That’s what I did they’re a blast
Ahaha you're right
What is that?
Hey boss can you send links to the bulbs you used? Thanks in advance 🙂
What tires do you have on the RAV?
Nitto Nomad Grapplers. Best tires I’ve ever used in my life.
Good weight. Good mpg. Great traction.
Hi. I just installed the exact headlights using your video. Would you be able to recommend specific bulbs? Thanks
I did install HID's into them. They are okay, but not awesome.
Currently selling my 3rd gen Tacoma and wanting to downgrade and I have been eyeing this. Can’t wait to see you more mods. I can’t seem to find “off-road or overland bumpers”
When I get home. Off-road testing is top on my list

@@PattyintheWoods Oh I get you. I was getting impatient and was considering getting a 2wd for a bit but thankfully that urge went away haha
@@racer7007 yeah I was considering the i4 instead of v6
cat is like, "who tf u talkin to?"
Cool video I had a 07 RAV4 Sport they good Toys 🎉
Very fun little zippers
Did they last? Seen some on Amazon had problems with clear coat or moisture getting inside
They have had moisture in them since day one. But it is less moisture than the ones I built myself so we aren’t that bothered by it
What would be a good pair of aviation snips to use if I wanted to cut the metal piece?! Thanks
Honestly any pair would be good. I used a little cutting wheel and it zipped off no problem
@@CoolGuyClub gotcha. Didn't know if I needed a specific one that was rated to cut a specific gauge.
Missing the link to the headlights, and my rav4 2011 has another front , sen it on vanguard model. Will these headlights fit? 😊
They sold out sadly. :( but here’s an option: amzn.to/3Vz8RMv
I just got a v6 limited, what grill did you purchase? Looking for an all black.
This is just the stock sport grill.
This is such a versatile vehicle. I currently have a 2014 sequoia and a 2012 v6 rav4. I was wondering your mpg with the new wheels/tires set up.
Have you guys had any issues with condensation since install?

@@CoolGuyClub okay thanks for the update. I just got a 2011 V6 and like what you guys did, looks sick!
Did you buy the ones with bulbs on amazon?
And are the fogs you got yellow or clear?
Yes indeed
They are yellow
You gotta clear coat new headlight housings or they will get cataracts fast
I did off camera with the 3M coating
good video but you need a flashlight bro...........
Poop paterns are the worst!
Indeed!
Only buy factory OEM Toyota everything else is Chinese junk. 😊
you're right
