That is a lot of work for a 1-2 person crew! I had about 6 guys at a minimum and it was just a 24 panel install on 3 sections of the roof and no battery. They had to drive nearly 3.5 hours to get here so I'm sure finishing in one day was their goal.
Thank u for sharing! Just a real quick question, did you encounter any difficulties during the installation process? What aspects do you think Tesla can do better to help you better install? Thank u!
@@SolarEngineering Looks like they dropped the cap here with SDGE when they changed the net metering. I'm getting two Powerwall 3s installed today onto my existing system. I had a 10 panel Enphase based system and a newer 27 panel SolarEdge system. Removing all the inverters and using the PW3 ones instead with the backup switch and no gateway.
Very nice, thanks for sharing that! What specs are for a panel, how many watts and kg? Also, 9:30 mounting the powerwalls, isn't that too close to the ground? Mainly because of rain or even flooding, sometimes. Or snow, during winters. But it depends on the area, of course.
Wonderful videos. Really appreciate the information you offer! Thanks
Much respect for the details and hardwork 👊🏻

yeah, 4 days just one person + 2 days 2 of us.
Saludos desde Puerto Rico , good installation like always .

all straight forward. maybe I'll shoot a video of things that can be improved
That's a lot of panels and powerwalls for that size house. My utility wouldn't let me put on that many on my 3000 sf house.
interesting, not an issue in my area

Love this video.
Nice to hear from an industry colleague!

powerwall can be submerged into water at the level where red cap installed at the front. It's fully sealed below this level.
Why 3 Powerwalls rather than 1 Powerwall and 2 expansion units?
Expansion unit is not available yet
Nice installation.
I think two powerwall3 were enough for 21kw solar panels
we are in area where utility don't pay much for exported energy, so owner wants to maximize self-consumption.
HI, How did you learn all this?
Tesla has a nice RUclips channel: @tesla_one
Is there a minimum distance you need to place powerwall from main panel?
no minimum, just follow tesla clearance around PW.
What's the best way to mount solar panel on spanish tile roof, if any?
Ground mount! 🤣

I hope they find that metal knockout that went flying inside the powerwall. looked like it could possibly short out the unit when they turn it on..
😎
not only am i impressed by your workmanship seemingly all alone (one helper?), its interesting to see how different things are in another nation
Nothing wrong with working alone. It’s lonely at the top 🐐
Why ppl choose tesla? Looks like that using good equipment but not from tesla you could do same system but at least 30% cheaper, no?
I think it's about same price (if we compare same wattage and capacity). Tesla is easier to install (aka less labor expense)
I have a question. Shouldn't the ESS be located at least 3 ft from the other powerwall?
Tesla has UL9540A certification, that allows to install less than 3', however some AHJ still not allows to install less than 3'
