      Israel actually treat foreign farm worker ,construction worker and caregivers much better than the neighbouring Arabic /ME countries in that area. ps. I am not Israeli. I am from an Asian country. Those workers as far as I know are mainly from China(construction area) Thailand (farm workers) The Philippines(caregivers) ......the human rights for these poor people back in their own countries are also not that good. That is why they have to work abroad to provide for the families.

    I was there in Israel for one year in 2013-2014. Working in a watermelon, dates farm in a moshav near Dead Sea. In our opinion, It's not too bad because we have a good BOSS. If you are lucky, you may get a good boss. But actually, you can earn more money than working in a rice field in Thailand or Viet Nam. That's why we choose go there. Money - That's the main purpose to go far from your country.
    There will have some days you will be free with not too many works but in the havest time, we have to cut about 2 tons watermelon/ 1 person in one day. It's really running you into the ground. After all, we think about a saving account for your old age or for a investment for the future when you come back your country after 3 or 5 years. That told us to try and try.

    They lived worse in Thailand than Israel. They got pay better than in Thailand. Every country had problems and people needed to learn basic chemical before work in any country or basic English.

    it's 4994 a month, so how can you say they ain't earning???? that is already manager salary in here. day off 3 days a month. israel should just buy machines for farming like usa. i thought israel is rich so why is it human labor. if the salary in israel is cheap why will they go there. im sure thailand is cheaper.

    • @laurahamilton4554

      It’s $750 a month. So for example: if they work 12 hours per day 7 days a week, they would only be earning around $2 an hour.

      Goutham K might be... but focusing on thai workers while 140 thousend people being killed in syria is hypocritical ,because its israel obvcourse you will try to slam it... its your hypocritical nature disguised as human rights .always aims to hurt the jewish state . the only democrcy on arab chaos and a sea of heuman rights violation.. so i dont buy that bullshit.

    • @gouthamk1044
      @gouthamk1044 9 лет назад +8

      haya pery Thank you for your reply. I would have to disagree with you because HumanRightsWatch has indeed made dozens of videos highlighting the atrocities that are present in Syria/Iraq and the other Middle Eastern states. As such, i do not think it is hypocritical that this channel decides to address an apparent case of human rights abuse in Israel.
      Of course, the scale of abuse in this example may not be anywhere near the grave violations and atrocities that occur in some of the other middle-eastern states.
      However, i think it is still important that this issue is heard and that it receives international attention, so that the Israeli government can implement measures to improve the livelihood of the affected Thai workers in their country.

      haya pery So are you saying that you think Israel should be like the rest of the region?
      Or do you think that as the most modern economy in the region it should have better standards?
      By your logic, Israel should violate human rights.. because others do.. which disgraces both you and Israel IMO.
      UK did not enslave and murder Jewish people in Europe in the 30s, just because other countries in Europe did.. it had higher standards.. as Israel should have now.

    • @hayapery5512
      @hayapery5512 9 лет назад +2

      israel is a part of the middle east , and it is better than its arab neighbours in every possible way. yet it is NOT europe and should not be held to europen standards while the arab world is not being held to those. AND THAT IS WHAT I CALL A DOUBLE STANDARD , and not "better standerd" as you referred it. i am saying that you need to show the world the big problems first as a human rights activist... and on that black list of bad things in the world , israels foreign workers is wayyyyy down...
