I made this... the final part at the end, they makes it look so easy, it took me about an hour for the final part. Still, it turned out great, perfect tutorial, 6 more to go...

Well darn. I screwed the pooch on my first try. First of all, using construction paper. Second, there were a few steps in there that I just couldn't see clearly what was happening. Like... I don't understand how you got all the paper out of the way on the inside, so that you could close the bottom of the diamond... I think it has something to do with you shoving the pencil in there... not sure what you did with that pencil. I ended up using scissors... which did NOT look good in the end... and my tape job on the bottom looks pretty lousy too.
You make it look so EASY! But I messed up, like, 3 times already! I am stuck at the drawing of the octagon. I figured it was lower than it had to be, the lines. So, YEAH! I think that it's just my oragami skills or something. :-)
I am unable to get the smaller square you get after 1.56 properly. The next two smaller folds you make using the corner sides at 2.08 and 2.27 do not use a corner with a fold. In my case, I can make the first fold using single paper, the next corner fold invariably is a two-fold paper (not single paper, like yours). Would be nice if you could type a comment on how to get that square at 1.56 right. Thanks.
