Hi Keira, welcome to Australia, hope you enjoy your visit. Usually the best time to see Kangaroos is either early morning or early evening which is when they become active. Maybe try contacting Shane Miller aka GPLAMA to go for a ride with him and his wife Von out around Ballarat and you might see some Lama's and Roo's as well. Be careful of Australian drivers as alot of them hate cyclists with a passion.

100% guarantee of llamas, alpacas, emus, and sheep out here! Maybe a few snakes on warmer days. Failing that there's the Ballarat Wildlife Park with all of the above, and crocs! :)
So an alpaca is like a lightweight llama. That's like the difference between a carbon frame, and a steel frame. Definitely cycling related.

I live where temperatures can hit 32° C and peanut butter in pitted dates will definitely ooze out into a real mess. I suggest stuffing a pitted date with a huge nut. A pecan, a walnut or my favorite, an almond. Less of a mess.
Sounds fantastic. Will try it as I always bring dates when out cycling.

Keira is in my home town - how cool. I recommend that you check out the Tuesday or Thursday tour de burbs (TDB) group ride or smash fest at 6:45pm or 7pm I think. Oh and the Saturday morning Peaks to King Lake. Enjoy :)

Keira welcome to Melbourne. It’s a great city and a wonderful place to ride a bike. To guarantee kangaroo sightings I reckon you need to ride around 6 to 7 in the morning. Great video by the way.

Cyclists are unable to possess a conscience and possess ethics, cuz stop signs are not hip for these freaks. Terror for pedestrians is by both cars and cyclists and cyclists wear dark colours to surprise the pedestrians. You shine, happy girl!!!!!!!
I went to perth a few weeks ago, went on a 2500km road trip with many cycles and only saw kangaroos in two fields :( and one jump on the road, in 3 weeks :(

Cycled past lamas today in Lancashire, waste of a long flight mate, by the way Leeana makes you look almost sane although her RHC dress from previous years is considerably diluted these days!

Pity you're not in Adelaide for TDU. Watch for kangaroos they can be dangerous and erratic, guy here in Adelaide critically injured after a roo jumped at him.going down Norton summit road last weekend. Another guy died last year again from a too.

We are a group who cycles up to Johor. Good places to cycle could happen right in your backyard. I'm cycling up Gunung Pulai tomorrow. Max gradient of 38.4%. Either I achieve glory on the summit or glory after dying from this attempt. 🤣

I visited Victoria BC this summer and was well impressed with the bike paths. Very cycle friendly city.

Think of it this way, you're expecting a plateful of delicious McVitie's Dark Chocolate Hobnobs only to be told that some greedy person may have eaten the plateful of delicious McVitie's Dark Chocolate Hobnobs, but there may be knocking about somewhere a few McVitie's Rich Tea biscuits.
