The foundation was the 1st update. The end of the announcement video states..”this is the first update of many…and the foundation of things to come”. That was 5 years ago and this game still amazes me. Best launch apology EVER!
I watched an interview with Murray before the games release and he literally told people the game wouldn’t have these so called promised features at launch but that they would stick with the game and continue to update and improve it for years to come. Seems like the fans are mostly the ones who overhyped the game tbh.

Shows what love and care can do for games, and truly shows that Hello Games never intended No Mans Sky to be a cash grab. No Mans Sky is a passion project unlike any other in gaming.

Me personally i dig this game and by digging it i mean quite a lot :D
@@d00mnoodle62 someday you just realize the unique universe every individual lives in, where every event thats ever happened lead up to you being *you* and having the opinions and feelings that you do. Some people are just going to feel differently and we have to grow to be accepting of that, regardless of what we know, think and wish. They love this game and we should be glad that they have that, at the very least. Just as I'm glad you enjoy the things you do as well.

Every single update trailer I go into with scepticism, like, "Surely they're just going to do something small and uninteresting this time. There's no way they're going to add even MORE amazing content"... then end the video with my mouth open in awe. Insane.

No Man's Sky should be a shining example to all other developers that a game can be fixed and/or added to to improve the gameplay and features. This went from being one of the most criticized games to being a true gem. Keep up the great work!
The fact that Hello Games could take NMS from it's release state to where it is today makes me all the more mad that EA scrapped Anthem.
The devs were working on a 'relaunch' update to fix up the game, people were hyped about it and when they presented the idea to EA, they instead decided to shut it down.
If a dev team the size of Hello Games could do it, EA would have had no issue.

I don’t think it’s the developers that need to be shown a game can be fixed and/or added to. The gamers are the ones that need that lesson.
@@javannapoli2018 This game really doesn't deserve so much praise. Each update is just more shallow and repetitive gameplay that is just busywork and is unsatisfying to complete. Instead of improving the overall core of gameplay, they just continue to tack on busywork work updates that are unsatisfying and just more repetitive grinding. Game is still boring and an endless loop of busywork.
This is, without a doubt, the greatest comeback story in gaming history.

i love how this game has developed but what would be next level awsome for me is a ship customiser i just want different colours or sumthin u can change every exo v. colour why not ships, and i know theirs always one but its just a minor complaint apart from that love it had it since day one abd its been one heck of a journey 😄👍

Been said so many times, but thank you for sticking with NMS, Hello Games. At release the game left me cold, but it has grown into the best space game I've ever played. Congratulations on the team for their success and their hard work. Amazing what they managed to do with this. Much love.

@@meny82 No, it's because they promised a lot and gave very little. It was a shell of a game; let alone what was announced. Don't take away the credit they deserve. They worked very hard to get the game up to what was promised and now even more.
@@meny82 At launch the game that I pre-ordered and waited for was almost nothing resembling what was advertised. They straight up lied about many things knowing full well people would find out. They have stuck with the game and won me back as well. But don't act like people are sour on this game because of the generation they're apart of. The devs lied and falsely advertised gameplay features that were straight up not remotely close to being in the game. They've since made good on their original promise.

Pur senza determinate funzionalità e meccaniche di gioco, promesse o meno che fossero, insisto: al lancio fu comunque un bellissimo sandbox. Chi si è accorto di questo, solo dopo.. ha quindi amato il gioco non per il suo sandbox (ancora ben presente, ovviamente), bensì per le tonnellate di funzionalità e meccaniche aggiunte successivamente. Questo, imo, è il motivo per cui HL continua con questo tipo di supporto a NMS.. anzichè puntare sul suo cuore ludico: l'esplorazione (banalmente: diversificazione biomi > diversificazione veicoli, tools, skin).

- first hello games you can take one of these ideas if it takes time or u didnt like some of it..
1- i want you hellogames to change the online/multiplayer system and make it like the expedition system :
Where we all start on the same planet/system or different systems but they are close to each other.. so that the chance of meeting increases and from here the exploration begins so the exploration will become more fun and we will see the buildings of the other players and we can become a team with others. And here exploration starts where we don't know what awaiting us..
2- Most creatures are boring because they have almost no use or value and they feel the same...
So make some of them Dangerous and give them their own abilities :
-shooting web like spiders-> caves
-freezing-> ice boimes
-flying-> any biome
-Poisoning-> toxic biomes
So put them in their right places
and give them there loot too like it gives you something that can be used for upgrading tools/ships
Upgrading tools like:
-Burning bolts
-Teleporting from a small destance
- spider web launching
And many...
so they worth risking your life
And if you can make bosess
-in caves
-inside a volcano
-Frozen biomes
And they give loot box/chets or anything elese
I know I asked for things that needed a lots abd lots of time
But you can make on things of these ideas
Or making on of these ideas for each big update
I dont mind waiting a whole year or much for making this. Sorry for too much talking.

On the first day. After 100 players join, you need to wait from the time they choose like:
30m - 1.5 hour...

That new ship looks simply epic, looks like it's channeling both the Naboo Starfighter and Count Dooku's Solar Sailor... Though I hope existing Exotic ships get unique cockpits, they're long overdue an update.

One of the OGs here that was with yall since launch, i was there when my ship went through that black hole for the first time. Im still proud to say i havnt found a home in this galaxy yet. Im still finding new things and being awed. Im now on Ps5 and GLADLY started over.
the solar ships look sort of like pod racers when in atmosphere and now i want to make one of my planets have a pod racing arena

this is definitely one of the nicest looking generatored map games, the graphics have just got better
New ship looks amazing and I BET pirates are housing up in the "abandoned" system space stations now! So cool!
Capes are a little weird for me though. Not sure how they'll mesh with the jetpacks.

This patch is amazing and looks great. NMS consistently puts out huge content updates at least once a year. The game is well worth the price - even before this update.
The onlyyyyy thing I really want is multi crew ships. I've been asking for years for this. When I play, I only play multiplayer. I'd love to fly around planets and space in a ship with my buddies. Have them use on board gun turrets and fight things in space, in the air, on the ground. That's when I leave the real world and stay in NMS forever 💖

Then get slightly depressed theres no multi-crew ships again
But you can hire pilots and adjust their abilities and fly in a squadron. I hope that counts for something.

If I had a wish, it would be to add a new planet type for every update. Origins was by far my favorite update. I'm an explorer, a traveller after all.

Because of the great work you've put in to your game , I have a copy ( from release) my wife now has a copy ( she love just planet hopping and scanning, still panics when sentinels are coming 🙄) and my dad has a copy ( he's 82 😮) he loves getting different space ships ( like he's picking a new car 🙄)

Hard work, Determination, and Passion. When you work at something you truly love and not for money you never get tired of it until you feel like you completed the work. Sean sees this as his child and he has a vision beyond this update.
