I wish they made it where followers you resurrect have a small chance to keep their personality and able to level up, akin to a special scar essentially.
Or an upgrade in the skill tree that can let you resurrect captains, but their personality is kept intact, similar to Zog at the end of his storyline or necromancers in general (maybe even effect your relationship with them, like they're either greatfull or unpleased and betray you)

UPDATE: With the May 8th patch, it is no longer possible to level up Undead. With the July 17th update, Undead no longer level down when raised, and it's possible to have max level undead again.
I don't really like Undead, so this has become one of my favorite tricks. Sad reality, it'll get patched at some point, but I'll enjoy it while I can.
I'll thank Richytheking13 again for sending me the information about this trick.
Uruk's Hollow Cool tricks, a couple of other questions regarding levelling undead followers. A follower who was made undead through normal means (not using this guide), can they still be levelled up using that garrison trick? Also can you level followers above your maximum level by using the training order that increases their level?
Actual Undead followers can also get their power level unlocked using the Garrison, yes.
As for follower with a higher level than yours, I don't think that is possible. You can get lvl65 enemy warchiefs in your fort by leaving the Warchief slots empty, though, but I do not recommend it if you are still playing Shadow Wars. I let enemies promote themselves into my fort just so I can get free fort upgrades, then I kick them out.
Hi help me I killed a uruk many time but every time he come back again & again & again. Finally I desided to shame him . but his level increased 45 to 63. Tell me how to kill him .( One more thing I cannot brand him) .
Uruk's Hollow Nice, also can you get lvl 70 followers by recruiting lvl65 uruk she while you have the gem equipped that raises an uruk she level when recruited. It probably wouldn't work but it's interesting to check if you haven't tried already
You can't even recruit a lvl65, so no.
They need to add a training order only chest. Who agrees?
I agree. I don't use followers I get from chests, I just delete them, and it takes a long time to do so. I'd rather have Training Order chests, as these are the only thing I care about from the Market.
Same. I almost never use chest followers unless I get one thats particularity awesome, I only really care about the training orders. On a similar note, Shadow of Mordor had Riots, where you could make your warcheifs attack other Uruks, which could be done to level them up, this game does not, and theres no real way to level up your warcheifs or Overlord without either demoting them or using those hard to get training orders that give them only one more level. There needs to be a way to level up these Orcs without using an absurd amount of orders or pissing them off with demotions galore. Aside from Online Conquests, which don't always give every Orc a level, and when they do its hardly worth the time.
agreed, all the orcs just get repurposed as more chests, asside from the occasional legendary.
Yes that would be great, the only followers I use from the chests are either marauders or any other cool Uruk or ologs. And I think they do have a training order chest but it's in a pack with two other chests and it costs like 1000 gold. No thank you
Uruk's Hollow I used a chest follower and made him my body gaurd to help me dominate a strong orc and he betrayed me the second I put him in a summoned him so I had to run away. Now he has iron will
I know it's going to be a tall order, but I'd love to see a robust guide on fortress defence. Stuff like how the tribe of your overlord affects the fortress' abilities, and where each captain in your garrison will be placed so that you can figure out how to get the most out of them (putting tough captains at the front lines, putting commanders and assassins in choke points, etc.). I'm seeing a lot of guides on assaulting fortresses, but less on how your follower choices affect the fine details of your fortress' defence.
Either way, still love your channel, and keep going strong!
I'd really like to see just something that at least tells me where they will be in accordance with where they are placed.
Here's my smartass answer: Get the metal door, metal walls, and spiked walls. Congrats, you've won!
The army won't be able to climb, the door will take -forever- to break, and the walls will be even harder to break. I spent a whiiiile just messing with the invaders before they finally broke through, by that point I'd just killed the first two waves myself and they couldn't get in.
The only reason I had any issues after that is one marksman with all kinds of immunities just sat off in a corner sniping my guys on the point but never getting close enough that my captains would go after him.
Defending against the NPC attacks is one thing, but I'm also thinking of setting up a fortress specifically to give other Talions hell in the online siege mode.
Adrian Smith Spikes apply to tallion but he can go up the towers :x
Hunters are my bane.
That's why I want a good video that covers captain spawn locations and such, so I know where I can place some hunter assassins to kill Talion when he's overwhelmed. Ideally by a berserker or commander's horde.

Nice I'd love it when a dead orc which resurect by a necromancer can also speak and have some of her personalities I hope this will happen in the next version of shadow of war

Hm. These honestly seem like those more harmless glitches that the devs would be better off leaving alone since they won't really hurt anyone and only enhances the experience a player has with their captains.
I wonder if they might just not "fix" these glitches. It's not an unreasonable idea honestly with how receptive they are with the community.
Hello Uruk hollow, great video as ever I have a few questions about your video. Does your follower still regain there tribe and personality if they were already undead when you brought them into the siege? And does this trick work on ologs?
They have to die and be resurrected during ths siege. And it does work on Ologs as well.

Brillaint work arounds you did there but i got a question though, the reassignment orders that you require for putting them into the Garrison where did you get yours? did you cheat engine them, silver chest them or MT them? honest question.
silver chest drops more than enough. i have like 80 of them

Can you make a video for how to trigger cheat death and ambushes? It's different from the first game I think
You can't trigger cheat death, unless specific captain has a specific "more_likely_to_cheat_death" trait, which is completely random. Then, if he has, you just kill him and wait. If he hasn't, you can use CE to replace some useless/duplicated trait with it.
I was able to level up my orc after taking him through some fights, and the fight-pit.
Was he undead?
Yes. Move em from region to another.
Somehow my undead follower has been able to level up through hunts and online pit fights.

Can you make a video on how to trigger ambush's. (the reason being my nemesis from last game is defintly not dead forever. BUT everyone except him is ambushing me.
Thrak The Poet You sure he isn't dead? I killed my nemesis, Muggrish in the arena, he ambushed me, killed him again and he actually died. Later showed up in a late game Zog Mission as a zombie, so he was definitely dead. I think that your nemesis only gets 1 guaranteed return, being his arena death.
Tehstachewhacker mine never came back after 2 playthroughs also I can never get uruks and especially ologs to cheat death
Bad luck maybe? If you decapitated your nemesis maybe thats why he didnt return, as for no captains cheating death for 2 playthroughs thats really weird. I've gotten plenty of returns, but I also make lots of enemies and have a tendancy to go on rampages, so theres a lot of candidates. Can't think of any ways to up your chances of getting a return other than do what I do: go batshit and rampage around Mordor killing everything until one gets back up.
Tehstachewhacker I was exaggerating I've only had two ologs cheat death and like 4 uruks
I only know how to trigger title-specific ambushes:
- The Golden: pick up miriam or gems.
- Brewmaster/Grog Maker: detonate grog stashes.
- of the Beasts: kill a rare animal (dire caragor or elemental graug).
- Pain-Seeker/Pain-Lover: brutalize an uruk.
These are the ones I know, but there are most certaintly more.

So, that means that you can take your favourite uruk on fortress siege without fear of losing him?
You can shame him to between level 30-25, then have him face a captain to see what immunity’s he has earned. To become fearless.
Plus it helps give em enrage to what ever.
i cant wait to have a fortress with with level 60 undead captains!

Does the personality trick still work since July 2018 patch?
Ever since I faced Zog and a few of his undead buddies at the arena still had personalities I was jealous.
I wish I could raise enemy captains like a true necromancer. Also some perks for undead would be nice. Like undeath spreading would be cool.
I haven't tried it yet. I will test it soon and update the description and pinned comment if necessary.

Ulysses do the shadow wars to level
Yea Shadow Wars give LOADS of xp the farther in you go and if you feel like that's too slow you could always use an Xp booster.
Ulysses wealth gems. Fully upgraded they give you 15% more XP. Combined in your armor and cloak that's 30% bonus XP.
Can you make a video to explain about the lvl 65+ orcs? There has been some up to 150

Do you know if unique uruk personality changes (The machine, the stitch, the flame of war, unashamed) can happen more than once? My machine and unashamed died and those are the coolest in the game lol.

I got two Plague-Bringers in my game, and the first one was dead for a while.
nah the coolest is an olog called: the stitch. i killed my guy 17 times ( yes i counted ) and he has come back again. i cant for the life of me get rid of this guy
Clubber Lang you can have at least two machine orcs at a time and the stitch olog has a weird personality as in it will always have the Russian accent even if the olog before sounded different

I put an update in the description and in the top comment. You now have to restart the game after redeploying them for the level up to work. Maybe that was messing you up at first.

No, just your own.
An enemy Necromancer however can resurrect enemy captains. Good luck setting that up.

Hey man, i noticed on other videos that sometime a follower would cheat death but remain loyal to you. Do you think you can find out how i can at least have a chance at this?
I have had this happen a few times too. Probably as many times as one has cheated death and betrayed me. I don't know yet how to increase the chances of them staying loyal, but I'll say the key might be in reviving them a lot, or promoting them to Warchief.
just one question, at the end of the video, your undead executioner showed up as an enemy. Did he betray you later or do you have another account and attacked you other accounts fort?
Undead captains, while they aren't "supposed to" can still betray you.

Jesse Evans I found it out while upgrading my ring wraith set. There was a guide on steam on how to upgrade the set easily and I found it as a consequence of that.
Not saying it's impossible to find was just curious.

Can you please make a tutorial on how to make your Shadow Of Mordor nemesis cheat death. I am talking about Tarz The Duelest.
There is a pretty high chance of it happening given that his score was high enough in SoM. Tarz didn't for me the first time, but he has cheated death on every playthrough after.
I'd wonder if there's a way to guarantee derangement or maniac after shaming.
I was fight a necromancer orc and his blood-brother, and I killed his blood-brother, and during the fight him he resurrected his own blood-brother who kept his personality. Nearing defeat, the undead orc attempted to retreat, say that his blood-brother would get his revenge.
So he slowly walked away at the speed on an undead orc. And I killed him. Again.

Are you finding a trick where your enemies are still around after you lose your fotress? Because it seems that when you do. All your followers takes the whole area and the ememies who were in the siege takes the fotresses. Anyone that wasnt part of the siege and followers goes away. And never comes back. Their are some of my nemesis that already has iron will so they cant be branded and be part of defending sieges. Can you help or make a video if you can?
This isn't a trick or anything like that. It's simply too many Captains and not enough Captain spaces, so the game will get rid of the ones that weren't apart of the siege.

What happens if I put a flame immunity training order in an undead ururk? Is he going to be flammable yet?
Fire warder reduces flame damage but they it will still hurt alot.
So wait.. Did you use a legendary training order or how did he switch fromm epic to legendary?

These are pretty much like regular undead, except for what we glitch. They should not betray you, unless you kill their blood-brother.

There are extremely rare legendary training orders. Problem is, they're SUPER rare, and they often result in a shitty 2nd trait, which cannot be replaced with another, as it only will let you replace the first trait, unless you use a bug (which I think was fixed) or cheat engine.
So there's no way to get a captains personality back anymore?

Oh! I have another example of an undead Uruk with their personality intact. I was playing through the endgame when suddenly Zog came back! You remember the undead Uruk from the Carnan quests? Well he came back, mocked me for being surprised, and revived the surrounding corpses and captain I had just killed. One was a marksman.
This marksman spoke and such like he had never died but was very much undead in every other aspect! I couldn't check out much more because my bodyguard with the flaming hammer took him out.
I have a few dead uruks that I can't remove from the Army screens that have been there since I started recruiting any idea how to get rid of those? I kinda want to get another "The Twin" uruk to put in charge of a fortress.
Ragabash the best option in my opinion is to let a grunt uruk kill you, and then it will fill up the space. But that may cause a deadly captain to spawn...js

Anyone else run into your undead orc talking?
Why do my undead followers betray me? I get no betrayal speech but I sometimes find one out in the open who's now hostile
There are two possibilities. The most common is that you killed their blood-borther. The game has this little oversight and undead can still betray you for it. The second posibility is that a Necromancer revived a captain you killed. This has to happen on the spot, so it is unlikely you didn't notice.
Can someone advise me on the easiest way to level up when you have completed the story? Is there a method or should i carry on doing the shadow wars?

I don't think you can resurrect captains above your level. Also, i noticed that decapitated captains can also not be resurrected, because you know. It's a confirmed kill

i wasted my time killing a captain and then resurrecting them on the floor, i was madder than Gollum losing the ring

Can "undead" uraks cheat death, I have one guy who I used this glitch on, but, I'm super overprotective of him (he's been with me since day 1) if he dies, can he still cheat death?

Dude! You gotta find out how a guy did something on his Uruk. I found an online conquest with 2 ologs and they had all resistances and no weaknesses. Literally NONE. One was undead and immune to fire! Wtf! How? Just how?

The more you improve your undead, their title will change. They can also cheat death.

Don't hit the finishing blow yourself. Let a branded grunt or something like that do it.

Hey, does anyone know if your Arena Nemesis gets a guaranteed return? All three of mine are still dead in Minas Morgul, and one wouldn't show up after about ten hours spent there in total.
Mine also has taken awhile but it's pretty much guaranteed.
