When it came to Penny's adoption, it wasn't just ONE who loved her, it was a WHOLE household of love waiting for her!
Love Janet Jackson, but I wasn't too fond of the abusive storyline.

The time when John Amos faced the gang member who shot JJ and felt sorry for him. That was huge. Also, the end of the episode when Penny gets burned by the Iron (off camera). That was chilling.
Recently got all the episodes on DVD. Love it
The saddest episodes were both James Evans and his father during a birthday celebration and when The Evans family got tragic news about James Evans being killed in a car crash in Mississippi
James being killed off is where l think ruined the show.
This & so many of the tv shows from this time really touched my soul 💗
