Found Chuck Ragan through a review of the game Flame in the Flood. Then found out he was lead singer in Hot Water Music which brought me back to a few college friends years ago. Awesome memories and great artist.
She said, "Lay down, we only have 'til midnight To leave this town and wander far from home But I don't know when again I'll have you So rest your soul, and lighten your load" [Chorus:] We can do some damage, 'fore the hour's handed To us baby, shake it up and maybe Something may, something may catch fire She said, "Lay down, we only have 'til midnight 'Til we break out, and cut our trails on our own You wanna burn this town and leave a mark to remember Where we came from, where we are, and how do we walk" [Chorus x2] Take me into that wonderful rock Come on, hit me with all that you've got Let me hear your shout-outs to long-gones The covers, the time always out It ain't nothing, baby, it ain't nothing It ain't nothing, baby, it ain't nothing It ain't nothing but a good time alone It ain't nothing, it ain't nothing It ain't nothing, it ain't nothing It ain't nothing, it ain't nothing It ain't nothing, it ain't nothing, ooh It ain't nothing but a good time alone, yeah It ain't nothing but a good time alone
I hear a bit of Tom Waits deep in his voice. Love it!! Unique sound. First time I have heard of him was today. I got an alert in my email regarding his tour and a show in Detroit at El Club. That is tomorrow , working so won't attend but will watch for him to come by this area again.
This song reminds me of a time where my life was almost, just about in a good place, a time where I saw this band two separate times, with old friends . . . And that journey I *abdicated* .
For goodness sake, I swear John is the most adorable human being on earth when he plays the fiddle. You can truly see he's enjoying himself and feeling the music.
I think it's funny how the band is stomping and hopping around, but they're just playing this sorta peaceful song as this guys life is going on in the background.
uk dates for 2014 were announced today! 27/05 nottingham, 28/05 bristol, 29/05 london, 24/06 brighton, 25/06 manchester, 26/06 leeds. got my tix for brighton this morning!

haha! no worries mate. I gotta say I'm pretty damn stoked for the tour and the new record :) If you're into Chuck's music it might be worth your while checking out Austin Lucas, Larry and his Flask and Crazy Arm. They're not exactly in the same vein, but they ARE all touring the UK soon. Austin Lucas is in london on the 25th of this month. if you've not heard it already check out the split lp he did with Chuck. It's pretty awesome. Larry and Crazy Arm are touring together and hit london on may 7th. Both bands fucking great and well worth checking out live too!
I love this! Its a awesome step from his soloalbums feeling like a solo thing towards this, wich feels more like a band effort. I love it when musicians evolve.

Is it just me or do others also feel like Chuck looks like a completely different person without a beard (or minimal beard) vs when it is in full force?

Chuck, our souls need a revival. Seriously.

The hook with the violin is _literally_ what made this catch fire. That's an awesome hook.

C. Geier- No he is not in TGA. He is Joe Ginsberg, he does solo acoustic stuff and is in a band called Baywood
Great lil' tune . Love it

Hey fellow Chuck Ragan fans, tell me what you think of my "Nothing Left to Prove" cover >> Nothing Left to Prove - (Chuck Ragan Cover)
Damn this guy is a beast

Замечательная песня, очень красивая!!!😌👏👏👏👏👏
This is great! Maybe he will get 1 million views on this like Frank did on his newer stuff :)
wow, tj millers brother can really wail on the acoustic guitar
el puto amo!!!
Wow. The singer reminds me of liam baker from koodoo. . . Love it x
excellent as always :)
Now, in 2024 I remember when i used to listen Hot water music. I Like Chuck is still here with us.
great influence
Holy shit this man knows what he’s doing
Goddam he sounds like a man weaned on whisky, Pall Malls and 40 grit sandpaper.
Yes
Ufff, directo.
Regards from Turkey, fuckin' awesome song :-)
Jonny Emaciated ❤
Sweet fuck I like this song a lot.
Is the Bass-Player the one from Gaslight Anthem?
It looks like him but no. It's Joe Ginsberg who played the stand-up bass with Chuck Ragan on the Revival Tour.
Hehe, thanks Julian Garcia! I saw joe's on Tour Solo in Summer over here in Europe. We're currently looking for a good Location to book him :)
Where is this house at?! I need to go!
Anyone noticed how, since Joe shaved his mighty moustache, his upright bass turned into a simple electric bass guitar?
It was his mustache playing the bass the whole time.
Sheer american country rock!
The 22 people who gave this a thumbs down must just be Chuck's jealous ex girlfriends... Seriously tho that's the only explanation
No. . . the music is just painfully mediocre. Like what you'd hear in a Dodge Ram commercial.
raise your voice in swells chuck!
I would love to see Chuck Ragan and Corey Taylor do a song together. Might seem weird, but it would be AMAZING
wow that an amazing thought. Nice Fiat too!
круть крутая ! Приветы из России !)
Does anyone know where this was filmed?
This song will get me past my driving test just watch.
I was about comment on how he sounds like the singer to Hot Water Music... Then I realized.
who on earth disliked this video? you're a fool.

My best músic favorite!( ╹▽╹ )
He should just go join Collective Soul. Dun dun da dun da dun dun YEAH!
Hmmm, you think he might know who Springsteen is?
+fl6stringer I was thinking John Mellencamp.
Hahaha definitely man.
Hahaha definitely man.
Is it just me or do others also feel like Chuck looks like a completely different person without a beard (or minimal beard) vs when it is in full force?
Really love this song, but his band looks like he's trying to build a hipster clone army.
It looks like he's being himself and you're the weird one
Guys. He sounds like a male Melissa Etheridge.
Bob Dylan on Steroids
Been a Hot Water Music and Chuck Ragan fan for some 17+ years now, and I really do not like this song.
Awesome song but terribly cheesy video...
eh, this is a little creedish..
Awesome!
