My dad’s home town! I’m so proud that my family is from such a wonderful place. From 11 years old I’d fly over to Lucca & spend my six weeks summer holidays with my relatives. Looking forward to going in September. I’m all happy & smiles when I get there but heartbreaking when I have to leave. My favourite place on earth! Lucca ❤❤. This is a joy to watch!
OMG! That garden restaurant was adorable. Would love to find that place! We love going into churches. They are usually so gorgeous. We are enjoying checking out all these small cities that you share with us. So informative. TFS
In 2016 when we visited Lucca our favorite restaurant was Ristorante Giglio that our B&B host recommended. One of the best meals we had during our month in Italy. Love your videos 😃
oh my Gosh Thank you both so much !!! loved this, that Cafe was beautiful and yes I'd live to spend a few hours there, that rise pudding cake looked delicious, I'd love that. The church's would be lovely to see, thank you for sharing your adventures ❤...keep them coming 😊
Matteo, my family made 'Melting Moments' too with a creamy sugar icing in pastel colors; this was a special Easter cookie in my Italian-American family. I will be in Lucca for Christmas for a week = Grazie for the videos in Lucca; these are very informative!
Just left Caffe Santa Zita. And though the patio was closed for dining we were able to walk out there. We sat inside near the doors leading to the patio. Not crowded, so it felt like a private meal. The 40 euro brunch is big enough for 2, and they split everything in half without asking. Excellent food and service Thanks for the recommendation!!
Watching your wonderful vid of Lucca while home sick; btw the walls were designed by, of course, Leonardo da Vinci! Awaiting your next ep. Safe travels!
Hi Matteo and Micha! I love your channel. I lived in Capannori six years ago.. it’s about 10 minutes outside of Lucca.. there is a tiny pizzeria called Pizzeria Sorrentina if my memory serves me correctly. I highly recommend it!! Very quaint and very good food. I hope you are enjoying your time in Lucca😊🎉
As a kinda local In Lucca, you need to try Trattoria Da Nonna Clara on Via Santa Croce. You can even watch the nonna make the fresh pasta in the front window that you eat!
first thing to do when I see one of your videos: I click the like button, then I see the video. I usually comment after watching it, this time I'll do it first, but I already know that I'll like the video as always
Love lucca! You asked about the best places to eat - we LOVED Tre Merli on Via dell’Anfiteatro. They got us in last minute on Easter Sunday, and were just so lovely. A couple servers’ families were eating near us, and it was such a convivial and family atmosphere. The tortelle lucchese was so, so good (really everything was). And pretty cheap too!
Una cosa che mi fa sorridere è la sorpresa degli stranieri di quanto si cammina in Italia , d'altronde se si vuole vedere le bellezze che la nostra nazione offre non si può da un finestrino di una macchina 🤣🤣
Great videos of Lucca! Our favorite place in Italy. If youre still here, other restaurants to try are Osteria da Pasqualino, Trattoria Gigi, Trattoria Canuleia, and da Leo. Hope youre still in Lucca.
When my mother lived in Bagni di Lucca I used to go to Lucca a lot, it's beautiful, far nicer than Pizza in my humble opinion.Never seen the Cannabis store Amsterdam before.😅
Hi guys, don't dive in the word with gl and gh..... 😝😝😝😝 ... beautiful video, as always. Lucca is one of my fav towns in the world, it's sooooo beautiful. Keep it up guys!!
Thanks Jocelyne! 🥰 And we haven’t been to any masses yet, but Micha did go to a general Papal audience a few years ago & that was incredible! 😍 It happens on most Wednesday mornings in St. Peter’s Square in Rome & it’s like an outside mass with the Pope! 🥰
I still can't believe some countries charg to get into a church, Loving these videos you two are so realistic about things it's like , that's what I would do, yes that does happen I want to go all over Italy 🇮🇹 😫 😩
LMAO Italy isn't much of a soccer country? You do realise soccer is a religion in Italy right? They have the 3rd or 4th best soccer league in the world. Also, the part about Italy doing badly in all the sports, the country has won 773 olympic medals (5th in the world).
44:03 Dear Matteo, what are you saying???🤌🤌🤌 Italy football champion of Europe 2021, Italy men's volleyball world champion 2022, Italy women's volleyball champion of Europe 2022, Olympic Champions in the 100m and 4x100 relay, record medals at the last Olympics and I could continue.............it's true that almost all Italians are not interested in rugby, it's difficult to become passionate about a sport in which our national team ALWAYS loses. VERY SURPRISED by this second consecutive video, in a few days, your only problem is the low frequency of videos, regular videos are the most important thing for a channel, a shame because your channel could grow a lot, you are nice, interesting and also a lovely couple.

Aww thank you so much Gary, that really means a lot to us! 🥰
Trattoria da Nonna Clara is the best food I've had in Lucca, the tortellini Lucchese is very good.

I need to go back to Italy & see Lucca for myself. What a pretty city! 🇮🇪
Loved the pictures of granny. All of us remember her and this biscuits.
Great video. We’re currently here and you helped us decide which of the two (many) towers to climb 🤩
Such fun!!! And thanks
for climbing all those towers for us to vicariously enjoy. Love you guys xoxo Justin & Michael
Can not wait to visit Lucca next year! Will be checking out some of these same attractions and the cafe! ❤

I’m loving your videos of Lucca, one of my favorite cities in Italy. We were just there and didn’t get to spend enough time there

Also, for great prepared food to bring home, try Macelleria Tuccori on Via Santa Croce.

Hi guys. I don't have a sweet tooth, but it's so funny how much you enjoy dessert Micha😂 every video is worth watching just for that.
Hahaha aww thanks Leslie! 😂🥰❤️
The buildings are so high in Lucca and all the streets look the same, it's so easy to get lost, it's like a maze.
Great video....I love the churches. Have you ever been to any of the masses?

Matteo you look like Roger Federer
How long did you stayed in Lucca?
3 weeks! 🤗🇮🇹
mi sembra di aver capito 207 gradini credo
Love your adventures...although I don't care to hear your politics

Let's say he is more informed about churches and monuments. 😆😆😆
