Made my turkey yesterday using this recipe (with some minor adjustments) and it turned out awesome! First time using the BroilKing Smoker for turkey but was very impressed. Thanks for sharing it with us. Cheers!
No worries, glad it came out good!
Going to try this with my Turkey for Christmas day, I've picked up a small one under 7KG so I can use the Rotisserie function can't wait!
Ah nice, enjoy and have a great Christmas
Great video again will, was wondering what your thoughts where on using traeger or webber pellets on the broilking pellet?
I havnt got any experience of using the weber pellets. The broil king pellets are a lot bigger than the Traeger pellets that would be my only concern.
Thanks for watching
Congratulations Will. I just finished my breakfast and am now hungry again - thinking about smoking a turkey on the BK R500! :-) Looks great buddy!
Ahaha! Was a beauty of a bird!
I only cook Xmas dinner on the bbq now. Another positive is it frees up the oven for deserts 😉😁 thanks for watching
@@WillsGrillShack My pleasure as always. Keep up the great videos and recipe ideas.
do you smoke for the whole 5 hours or just the first hour
First hour 107c then crank it up
Now I am hungry;)
That’s my goal 😁
Ya must have a huge fridge too get that yeti in
The beauty of the yeti is it holds the temp perfectly
@@WillsGrillShack so you just lashed in some really ice cold water and left it in it??
@@markporter3366 yup, got it to 5c put the bird in and the yeti will just stay That temp for days!
@@WillsGrillShack that’s unreal what size is that one you have ??
@@markporter3366 if you look in the description there’s a link to the one I have 😉
It’s not F, it’s you are cooking with C.
Why, why oh why do you switch from litres of water (metric) to cups (America ) to Table spoons (English) it “smacks” of a typical yank “copy” method. Then switch between Gramms of butter, then back to table spoons of all other stuff for the injection. Why not just do the whole lot “metric” litres and Gramms, idiot proof. Can’t go wrong? Don’t see this as any rude attack it’s nothing…….. but by weight, not cups, table spoons far more accurate.
Best regards.
