- Dungarvan is a coastal town and harbour in County Waterford, on the south east coast of Ireland. It has a population of over nine thousand residents.

I went to Dungarvan in 2021 for the Record Store Day, and I was amazed when I arrived there. I wasn't expecting that to be such a gorgeous town! I didn't want to leave hehehe.

Another great video and another town to put on my list. I feel the same way about paying for parking in a town where I'm going to spend money! It's also ridiculous how hotels charge for parking when you are staying there. Look forward to the next video! Merry Christmas!!

The first 90 minutes in that car park (Scanlon’s) is free. We park there all the time. The first 30 or 60 minutes on the square is also free. I can’t remember which. We usually park in Scanlon’s for the free 90 minutes.

I was born and raised there many moons ago. I think I know John in The Enterprise, I knew his younger brother Dennis if I'm right, it's totally changed. I'm a stranger when I visit there now 🤠 We used to hang out in 'The Kip' and 'The Square Grill' when we dodged school 🏫💌 We had some good times back then, feeling nostalgic for my gone by youth 🙂

Charging for parking in Dungarvan is disgraceful. The Chamber of Commerce demanded loads of outdoor seating, which took about 40 parking spaces, then they advertised Free Parking in Boreennatrá, a local residential area. It's the middle of winter now, slinging rain, all the outdoor seating is unusable and yet the Council won't return the Parking Spaces. Fair play for highlighting the Parking Charges - I keep telling people to shop in Midleton, free parking everywhere
It's not only in Dungarvan Catriona. Lots of towns are the same when it comes to parking. You live in a lovely part of the country. 👍😊
We older people just love lots of seats.
First half hour is free. Over 30 miles to Waterford.

If car spaces in centre of town were free and unregulated, how easy (or difficult) do you think it would be to get a space when you need one?? But, If you went 100 yards from that car park, you could park all day for free!

When you crossed that river in the the park ( it called Walton Park ) you technically left Dungarvan and entered Abbeyside

@@donstravelsandrants. What he says isn’t true. It is technically apart of Dungarvan but a lot of people consider it to be separate. From my experience Abbeyside is mostly a living area and Dungarvan is for shopping or just partying, restaurants etc
