Thank you! Some achievements were bugging out and not storing correctly for me, and other older games that have lost dedicated servers were now impossible to 100% regardless of how many hours you poured into the game.

This program is quite handy. I'm a bit of a completionist when it comes to gaming but sometimes I take a long break and when I come back I like to start fresh, achievements included. This helps me with that.
Always its a issue on Steam . I just checked out a game I wanted to clean up 2 achievements only to see that a friend had the 2 I need with only 3 hours of game play and 1 click of a mouse. I have 30 hours in the game it would take me upwards of 50 hours or more if I decided to get them.
I play a few games that use a third party launcher, and since I've played them outside of steam, ALL the easy achievements are unobtainable now. But I have almost ALL the hard achievements.. So my Steam says I've unlocked "Get to max rank on a weapon" However, the easy one "Get to rank 2 with a weapon" is locked. I hope I can use this, to add all the achievements I KNOW I should have. :/

I cannot agree with you more. I don't want to cheat with games I don't play. But then again for example I had 413 hours in Dirt Rally, and I made it to 168/170, those 2 remaining trophies needed early access and 7 friends, so phisicly impossible to archieve. This tool served me justice, because I worked hard for it. F1 games online trophies did the same. 49/50. So messed up...

Only work around is go to Steam website, search the game you want to get the achievement for, copy the app number into SAM and click search and it would show up. Until its fixed that be the only way, as usually all your games load up when you open SAM. For example, I search "Tokyo Xanadu eX+" on Steam website, copy "587260" from the browser search bar, and paste it into SAM search bar.
I lost this really hard achievement I completed after some steam cloud save issues and I gave up trying to fix it because I never knew this was a thing, thanks for the straight forward process on how to do everything you have no idea how gratefuI am :)

You won't get banned by vac, but you CAN get banned by certain game devs. For example a friend used this in dead by daylight and was permabanned from the game on that account. Just be aware of this.
this doesn't seem to work anymore. just downloaded the latest version and tried to remove Idle Champions. it failed with "Protected Achievements" so if devs can protect achievements its likely that only old/abandoned games will still be possible to wipe clean. EDIT: correction. unticking individual achievements doesn't work, but clicking Reset all did work to wipe them all out. w00t!
I figured out the solution, you gotta put the game id next to "add game" then press it and it will show up, go to the game's store page and check the URL. The last number in the URL is the application ID.

I've been legitimately collecting Steam achievements for years, however there are several games I own that I've had >90% completion but can't get for various reasons. For example, Saints Row The Third has these annoying Coop acheivements that require you to play *_every_* mission in Coop, with no way to replay previous missions or check which ones are or arent done) Theres also Spec Ops The Line's FUBAR difficulty achievement, the only one I don't have... this game's hardest difficulty really is FUBAR :[

Spent 3 months trying to get every skyrim achievement. One of my mods broke a questline so I typed a command that I thought would finish the quests in game loading me up with many achievements I didn't earn. You sir are a life saver!

same here EDIT: i got it to work. you go to the store page on your browser and copy the numbers (example store.steampowered.com/app/620). Put the numbers to the left of the add game button then click add game. You might have to restart SAM or the game but it worked for me. :)

Of course it's not bannable, it's simply doing the same thing some mods do, which is to trigger a simple command to unlock the achievements. Even the command to remove achievements has been officially used in some games like the endless loops in the Stanley Parable demo. But this is also why we'll never have rewards or other cool stuff linked to achievements unless the system is changed, but it's too late for that now considering how many games are already designed with the current system in mind.
Just a heads up, I did this to remove my achievements in Dark Souls: Remastered, and I got instantly banned from all DS:R online play upon logging back in. Fortunately I was able to appeal and Bamco support actually came through and unbanned me. But still, use at your own risk!

ive used a cheat in stardew valley to get more money and regreted being "unloyal" to my gamer soul... so i just deleted my achievements to feel a lil more pure, thank you so much
Thanks, now I got some stupid achievements from gmod, like playing the game for 365 days in total or playing with the real Garry (Which is almost impossible at this time)
The Garry achievement is impossible without SAM or speaking to Garry himself. Garry has completely stopped playing and even has gone on record saying he has no interest in playing anymore. Though someone did message him on discord once and convinced him to play for a few hours which allow over 400 people to legitimately get the achievement.
Yeah, garry last played on a server in around 2018, he barely launches the game anymore, even if he does he usually doesnt play, and if theres a slight chance he joins bots will most likely fill it within seconds

cTechnically, they can. No matter what you edit, editing a steam file is cheating or hacking in some way. But Valve doesen't care. No matter if it is idle master or achievement manager, they have never banned anyone for using such tools. They don't seem to care at all because many steam games have either completely bugged, unoptainable or impossible achievements (e.g Garrys Mod). But if your account has any value to you, I would still use it with care and definitelky not use it in any VAC protected game.

Man that was epic and still working! I got some achievements accidentally when I was cheating to test a mod I was making and I was really bumped cause they were the hardest for the game. Glad to see I can achieve them normally on my playthrough again!

god thank you so much, I literally had to get my self unstuck somewhere in Subnautica Below Zero (many people had the same issue) and had to use the console and could not get achievements anymore. This is a mental life savior for me.

This could be an honest thing to do. Suppose someone wants to "transfer" their legitimate achievements from Xbox, they could just select only achievments they've already earned by going through their list on Xbox and apply them to Steam with this tool. I might try this, but only for ones that I have already earned, hopefully they are named the same and all that. Edit: Oh crap it looks like I'd have to buy the games again but for Steam.

yeah, try to not unlock event achievements like meet the creator on gmod. Also, do not try to get all the achievements with too few hours.

Todd has failed to give me my legendary dragon achievement after killing like 10 of them.... not anymore

Thanks for this quick and to-the-point video. I've been legitimately collecting Steam achievements for years, however there are several games I own that I've had >90% completion but can't get for various reasons.
For example, Saints Row The Third has these annoying Coop acheivements that require you to play *_every_* mission in Coop, with no way to replay previous missions or check which ones are or arent done)
Theres also Spec Ops The Line's FUBAR difficulty achievement, the only one I don't have... this game's hardest difficulty really is FUBAR :[

Spent 3 months trying to get every skyrim achievement. One of my mods broke a questline so I typed a command that I thought would finish the quests in game loading me up with many achievements I didn't earn. You sir are a life saver!
you think this work for removing achievements ? i have games i removed permanently from account, but i still have the games achievements that show when i click on achievements :C
@@KatouMiwa yeah I removed about 9 achievements no issue, you just have to get an achievement in another game after removing some for it to register.

You can manually add games with their AppID which you can find on steamdb.info, so that you can still use it till it gets fixed.

same here EDIT: i got it to work. you go to the store page on your browser and copy the numbers (example store.steampowered.com/app/620). Put the numbers to the left of the add game button then click add game. You might have to restart SAM or the game but it worked for me. :)

The developer is on Twitter and Twitch, @gibbed, so maybe somebody who has an account with either of those websites can try contacting him there to see what the issue is.

Thank you so much! As someone who uses mods some games don't think I'm playing through steam so this was a way to circumvent that. I truly appreciate you :)
Of course it's not bannable, it's simply doing the same thing some mods do, which is to trigger a simple command to unlock the achievements. Even the command to remove achievements has been officially used in some games like the endless loops in the Stanley Parable demo.
But this is also why we'll never have rewards or other cool stuff linked to achievements unless the system is changed, but it's too late for that now considering how many games are already designed with the current system in mind.

Just a heads up, I did this to remove my achievements in Dark Souls: Remastered, and I got instantly banned from all DS:R online play upon logging back in. Fortunately I was able to appeal and Bamco support actually came through and unbanned me. But still, use at your own risk!

I figured out the solution, you gotta put the game id next to "add game" then press it and it will show up, go to the game's store page and check the URL. The last number in the URL is the application ID.
ive used a cheat in stardew valley to get more money and regreted being "unloyal" to my gamer soul... so i just deleted my achievements to feel a lil more pure, thank you so much
Thanks, now I got some stupid achievements from gmod, like playing the game for 365 days in total or playing with the real Garry (Which is almost impossible at this time)
The Garry achievement is impossible without SAM or speaking to Garry himself.
Garry has completely stopped playing and even has gone on record saying he has no interest in playing anymore. Though someone did message him on discord once and convinced him to play for a few hours which allow over 400 people to legitimately get the achievement.
Yeah, garry last played on a server in around 2018, he barely launches the game anymore, even if he does he usually doesnt play, and if theres a slight chance he joins bots will most likely fill it within seconds

cTechnically, they can. No matter what you edit, editing a steam file is cheating or hacking in some way. But Valve doesen't care.
No matter if it is idle master or achievement manager, they have never banned anyone for using such tools.
They don't seem to care at all because many steam games have either completely bugged, unoptainable or impossible achievements (e.g Garrys Mod).
But if your account has any value to you, I would still use it with care and definitelky not use it in any VAC protected game.
Lol yea I used to achievement hunt on Xbox legit and they care if you legitimately get them.

Man that was epic and still working! I got some achievements accidentally when I was cheating to test a mod I was making and I was really bumped cause they were the hardest for the game. Glad to see I can achieve them normally on my playthrough again!

Copy everything from steam achievement folder when you extract then run Sam.game.exe as administrator
god thank you so much, I literally had to get my self unstuck somewhere in Subnautica Below Zero (many people had the same issue) and had to use the console and could not get achievements anymore. This is a mental life savior for me.

This could be an honest thing to do. Suppose someone wants to "transfer" their legitimate achievements from Xbox, they could just select only achievments they've already earned by going through their list on Xbox and apply them to Steam with this tool. I might try this, but only for ones that I have already earned, hopefully they are named the same and all that.
