Its the same as when he makes his drum and bass under the name Spor. Instantly know it's a Spor track. One of the finest producers around in both genres in my humble opinion.
I've got about 20 years on you then mucker haha. Back in the olden days the record store was all we had. None of this new fangled interwebs. 😂😂😂 But yeah, that's what used to happen. If you couldn't play the record to try it, you just had to either go by the producers name and to a certain degree the label. If you were a hard core electro house fan, picked up a Spor record and got rinse out drum and bass, it would be a bit of an arse to mix on to your set haha. I guess it just makes it clearer.
This remix to me feels like a timelapse of myself listening to Strobe throughout the years, experiencing so many different emotions. Strobe can make you feel many things depending on when you listen to it, and this remix brought it all back in a glorious 9 and a half minute flashback. I was so skeptical when I heard people were remixing the one and only Strobe, but all the artists involved have done such an amazing job. Not trying to outdo the original, but more so paying a tribute to a timeless electronic masterpiece. Well fucking done guys..
Dude, when I heard Feed Me was remixing Strobe, a legend paying tribute to one of dance musics masterpieces, I got goosebumps all over. Kinda scared really, would Jon live up to the task? He certainly did give his own freaky twist to it. And you know what... I fucking love it.
I love it how at 3:43 the whole feel of the track changes and goes to more emotional and epic. The start is energetic and crazy and then it eases down and becomes a beautiful journey... So much love for this remix...
imagine deadmau5 comes up to you and tells you "hey, do you wanna remix 'strobe' for my 100th mau5trap release?" and you're like "WHHHHHHHHHATTTTT THHHHHEEEEE FUUUUUUUUUUCKKKKK I'M SCREWED" cause you know it's almost impossible for people to like it cause Strobe is such a legendary tune for almost every electronic music lover.... ...but you did it, and people LOVED IT, and now you're in the top of the fucking world.
I think all of them did a great job. They didn't try to top the original, they just highlighted what was great about it, with their own touches added in.
Avarice The only difference is that Stairway to Heaven is actually quite popular. It's not like Strobe isn't, but there are too many songs that took not even a tenth of the effort to make, but are ten times as famous. Fuck humans.
This is my personal favourite. Enough of the original vibe and placement of elements to give you that nostalgic feeling, enough modern style to warrant being called an original take on a classic.
Love how he remixed this. You can still tell its a Deadmau5 track but can easily hear Feed Me's unique style in here as well. It went so well together.
Back to the old feed me style, which is much more unique and original in comparison to his later stuff. No one else could pull of a remix for such a classic quite like him in my opinion.
Cause you're so used to the strobe tune, you can't help but feel this is somewhat...off. But that's the thing about Feed Me. He doesn't stick to the norm, he's got a different vision. Truly admirable, his creative sense
I love how this track shows both that it's a remix of Deadmau5 but still being so different. Feed me used the original elements really well! Love this track
@@WetPuddle To me the first drop was disappointing since the rest of the track is so incredible. I didn't feel that it fit with the rest of the remix. But that's just my opinion of course.
@@wolfpakave5084 progressive house isnt really about the drops its about the overall flow and progression of the song. Dubstep or glitch hop are a bit more "drop focused"
No song could compete with strobe, besides the live version, which saved my life in a sense. But i so love feed me, and this is a really good dance version
perfectly understood the emoticon of the song ... And a good tribute to the original overall. when u make someone comment like this u've done the right shit.
This is the only remix I've ever liked of this song. It's so hard to top the original. This isn't better than the original but the way he made the original "his" was perfect. He kept the essence of what made this such an incredible song.
This is the most amazing Deadmau5 remix I've heard yet. It has literally everything from the infectious house beat, that funk house we love so much (Daft Punk), unique sounds, beautiful synths and piano.... I mean what more can you really ask for? I'm a huge fan of the original song so that's saying something. This is catchy, funky, beautiful, and infectiously upbeat....
Best remix of them all in my opinion. His structure of the song resembles his art and style along with the nostalgic memories of the original. I loved it!
i was thinking the same thing. in the past year plus, i've had trouble even finding a handful of good true electro house tracks. not generic big room bullshit.
no disrespect to Attlas. But I think this remix is the best one on the album. It's like 3 songs in one, 3 highlights of the original. Really shows a ton of talent, and versatility. I can't stop listening to this one. I love how the outro on this remix is the intro to the original. Some really nice touches.
listened to all the Remixes of part one, Feed Me is my favorite by a long shot. I heard the Deadmau5 rework he posted onto his Twitter, and as good as it is, Feed Me is even better than the rework.
Shivers. Every time.
same
you can hear it is feed me very well. he has his unique style..
yup
Its the same as when he makes his drum and bass under the name Spor.
Instantly know it's a Spor track.
One of the finest producers around in both genres in my humble opinion.
I guess if you go in to a shop and pick up a record by Spor, you know you're getting DnB. And Vice versa for feed me.
That's where I'm from mate haha

Mike van Slooten i got a hard one on...kinda
ZeraEditing Well Said!
this one and dimension smashed it so hard. even kept the long ass length. the progressive build up is everything.
@@bradmcgraw4304 Go full hard or get out the way loser the pink lady is waiting
There is just so much about this track that I can't even describe, that brings up emotions that I can't even describe.
good description
very good description, described nothing, just like I like my descriptions
CONDESCENT I know right!

Everyone on the internet rambles about nonsense. You're not alone man :P
I like what Attlas said. Strobe is the "Stairway to Heaven" for this genre. So attempting to top it would be a massive mistake.
Avarice
The only difference is that Stairway to Heaven is actually quite popular. It's not like Strobe isn't, but there are too many songs that took not even a tenth of the effort to make, but are ten times as famous.

OfficialURL Hence. for this genre. STH is more universally recognized. Strobe is unfortunately limited to the electronic part of things.

THIS IS IT.
I'll be honest, I skip to 6:00 every time. I don't know why the last 3 minutes of this mix are so fucking awesome, but they just are.
safarani I feel you, have you found any songs like the end parts of this remix?
Sorcery
Man 3:30 sounds so nostalgic.
yeah u right me
gave me the chills
also 6:30
iMicca that drop tho

This song hits the feels straight up man...

because the progression is reversed
holy shit i think you're right!
and i was just gonna say, yep.
I love how this track shows both that it's a remix of Deadmau5 but still being so different. Feed me used the original elements really well! Love this track
6:30 the sound. amazing
Deadmau5 and Feed Me were litteraly my first steps un Electronic Music.
6:20 and further cannot be expressed in human words
Sam Borton what about dog words ... woof?
Sam Borton or bark
solar sentuary I was thinking more "oarf" but bork and woaf work too. that'd do.
Sam Borton oh thats is an magnificant choice
Best thing Ive heard
This cant be real
way better than the lane 8 remix huh?
Will Landry I would say so yes
CONDESCENT it's amazing, feed me is special

What happened? I want to know!
I need to get Twitter, fuck me.
If you have twitter you'll understand Everybody and Deadmau5 aren't the best of mates.
these reversed chords at the end are next level
Total genius
gorgeous. absolutely perfect. songs like this are why feed me is my favorite artist
literally my two favourite artists of all time
all the remixes have wonderful vision. you can tell they all gave their all. so glad they did this with strobe
There are some very creative and sometimes subtle changes that are inspirational . They really took a chance here.
No song could compete with strobe, besides the live version, which saved my life in a sense. But i so love feed me, and this is a really good dance version
The guitar in the breakdown is just superb.
Absolutely
Legendary
Around 6:15 I begin to get musically captivated. Makes for a great piano/keyboard riff!!
perfectly understood the emoticon of the song ... And a good tribute to the original overall. when u make someone comment like this u've done the right shit.
What a glorious thing to wake up to
Wow, amazing. I really would love to see an album with these two guys together
God what a fuckin cool transition from 6:00. So smooth

he played this at Dreams in Toronto at the weekend, wasn't dusk but wasn't peak afternoon, clear skies, total perfection.

best remix, hands down. the build up and athmosphere are insane!
I felt more emotion in this breakdown than in the original tbh
the 2nd part is MAGIC
It hits me with goosebumps every single time. no Seriously, it does.
does anyone know where the stems can be found? or were they only released to the big name artists?
Possibly in Beatport? I know they were really pushing that Traktor Stems things for a while.
Feed Me just fed me a full course breakfast this morning, THANKS!!! #mau5trap #TGIF

Soo stoked when I saw that Feed Me did a remix to this.
Masterpiece ❤
I love how much work he put into this. Honestly though, i was never really a Feed Me fan.
