Beautiful interpretation with simple filming that does not distract from the spellbinding beauty of this music. The melodic line first given to the gamba reminds me of Dowland's "Flow my tears" and the tears certainly do flow when experiencing this playing!
The entire CD "Conversations" with Nevermind Ensemble is a sensation. The extraordinary sensitivity of this ensemble makes them jusi right for performing Quentin and leave other interpretations of Guillemain long behind them. Their interpretaion of the arias, so frequent in the late french baroque chamber music comes to a new wonderful light and really makes sens, obviously this is how they should be performed - just to mention some of the marvels with this ensemble. Telemanns appreciating words of how his Quatuors Parisiens was performed by the elit musicians in Paris 1738 comes to mind. It would be great if this ensemble would continue to record other great but forgotten composers of french baroque chambermusic like André Cheron etc. Again this is a sensation.
