While I'm continually a fan of the content and the culture and appreciate all the hard work and effort that goes into these informational videos. I am also continually surprised at how easily we are wowed by repeat performance. If anyone has been keeping up with dj technology for the last 10 years, being excited about the release of this unit, the SC5000/m, the SC6000/m, the CDJ3000 should make you irritated more than anything. I listened to this man say "he look at a product and wonders why it didn't exist already"; but it has existed already or did we forget about the !DENON! SC2900. We let the manufacturers determine what gets developed, what gets supported and when they remake a product that existed almost 10 years ago we get excited. Sorry for the rant just a tad bit frustrated.
I've been waiting for something like this since forever! I have an older pioneer djm 900 Nexus mixer that I use for my vinyl sets. (used to use it with Traktor) I really don't use it with serato dvs, because I can only use channels 1&4 within the software, so that layout is kind of un-intuitive for me. I can now get a pair LC6000 and bang out, with an option of buying a sc 6000 in the future. This is Gold! Thanks for the review Mojaxx!
Great video! LC6000 as a midi-player is almost perfect in my opinion. A lightweight 2/4-channel midi mixer to control DJ software would be a dream to go with this. (1850 is too heavy!) Brilliant business for both customers and Denon since it’s just a midi-keyboard and that’s all you need if you’re a digital DJ.☀️
Exactly, people tend to forget that all this already existed almost 10 years ago, and the V7 was a motorized unit - it didn't work with anything but Serato or Itch when it was released but it was available.
Finally a successor to the SC2000 (I still use those !). And with Djay Pro for iPad now supporting external routing, this makes a great "standalonish" setup with an iPad connected to the main mixer ! Only problem here, fully standalone XDJ-700s are cheaper !!!
That is pretty dope. The LC6000 should work with djay iOS as well. It also looks like the full size jogwheel controller Traktor is currently missing. Native Instruments make this possible please.
Totally called this a few months ago that they'd be standalone controllers. However, i thought they were just waiting to launch them alongside a performance mode for the software, but im sure thats not a long way off

I’d love to be able to put one either side of my Prime Go at home and use them with the built in mixer in the Go, then just take away the ‘Go’’ when I wanted to go mobile.
Denon needs to update the LC6000 software that would enable it to control Engine DJ dual deck mode on mac / pc desktop. This will be perfect for auditioning tracks in a collection or playlist.
I think that new lock device that holds the vinyl on the m series should be like the phase. Than you could buy a extra one and control the second deck with a turntable
Can we use 1 Denon SC6000 + 1 Denon LC600 to control two decks in Serato DJ? As I understand it, the LC6000 can control either another Denon Prime mediaplayer or one channel in Serato DJ.
can you adjust the scratch sensitivity on the LC? I've used it with a RANE 70 and serato dj pro, but it seems to have a little slip. When I use the control vinyl and a 1200, it is accurate.

I don’t get it, so you plug two of these into your laptop via usb, then the mixer? So three usb plugs into your laptop and you assign these in serato? Seems strange but a cool way to upgrade an old system. I use dvs/technics and sometimes want a static platter to avoid playback drift
Really? This made me respect Pioneer even more. This controller is just a cheap workaround for a legit full on professional setup. This setup will NEVER see the light of day in a top club or festival. These will stay in the bedroom. This just cheapened the Denon brand more for me. I love my 3000's and djm v10-lf
@@adamv6942 for sure Denon will never take over the big clubs and festivals, totally agree, but they do excel for Pros that do weddings , bars and corporate events also because of the streaming and flexibility. Plug and play with any USB/HD goes a long way. I hate that I have to wait through 15 minutes or and hour of exporting in Rekordbox before I can play with my new tunes on the 3000.

I just find it funny when Denon fanboys try to compare SC6000s to 3000's and then Denon releases these things, to me seems like they are releasing gimmicky things like the dual layer function and these cheap things. Aside from full stand alone media players, there are no new controller player (ex Numark v7 which is discontinued) that has it's own RCA out. Now don't get me wrong, the LC6000 is a great product and to be honest, I wish it came out sooner. I already bought a pair of sc5000m a month ago but I would of bought a sc6000 and pare it with the LC6000 on a two channel mixer. It is what it is and I don't regret my purchase.
Pioneer/Rekordbox not let you map a non Pioneer controller for some crucial controlls (i.g. platters) the even limit the remap on their own Pioneer units. The XDJ-Players are also very limited (you can just control one deck). Heck, I mapped once one CDJ-2000 to use with two Traktor decks - on Pioneers Rekordbox: no chance :-( If I haven't invested these hundred's of hour in building on the Rekrodbox collection (individual beatgrids, matched songs etc.) I would probably switch the software. If the LC6000 is fully midi mappable you could even map them for Traktor DJ. Pioneer need to wake up! If would even be o.k. paying 50% more for the Rekordbox subscription, if they let me map anything on any controller (and add Modfiers like in Traktor)!
You can use Rekordbox created flashdrives on the Prime decks. And if you are on a Mac and need absolute 1:1 mirroring of your Rekordbox/Engine Prime library there is always this...... facebook.com/DenonConversionUtility/
I dont need more than 2 decks...however....its a budget price for those who only use with laptops, cause it doesnt have a display. No......Denon should simply make the Prime series compatible with Ableton Link. Then you can have whatever software/hardware (that is Ableton Link compatible) that you want. No need for a Denon DJ version of the DJS-1000. Enough with the walled gardens. I want options!!!
And the XDJ700 is a toy compared to that. Well ok, it has its own screen. But for just $100 more you still the the SC5000, which even rivals the CDJ3000.
You have a screen on xdj700 but others than that your very limited because its not considered to be a pro player like xdj-1000mk2 and Nexus2, 3000. Etc.

tried the 6000 jog and didnt like it, too much effort to move it, there was a prime 4 connected besides where jog felt a lot better, maybe the muscle memory playing pioneer for years but 6000 jog is just too heavy
@@sheenodj there is no stanalone hardware that can process timecode though. only 'computers'. the LC however you can use with a standalone player. at that point you'd be saying that standalone is stupid because computers can just do it :D
Yeah, it would have been amazing if instead of a needle strip they put in a thin rectangular touchscreen. That's what I was hoping for. That said, I already put in my order for a single LC6000.

TBH you don't have to wait, try and find a Denon SC2900, I swear it's almost exactly the same and it was built Traktor compatible at launch.
