      I was dissappointed too after finding out that for triple Port charging the charger is basically useless because of their power distribution. But still not that bad for charging two devices at a time. And handy one as a travel charger.

    • @johnmarston5766
      @johnmarston5766 7 месяцев назад

      I think you guys don't understand basic electrical concepts. If charger supports 65w max then it means 65w total for entire charger, If more than 1 devices are connected then 65w will be distributed among devices.
      And nothing used this distribution because most phones that comes with usb c to c cable support 20w or under 45w charging ( Not talking about that 65w or above phones because they do come with their proprietary chargers for that wattage charging).
      USB A has 36w because most phones that came with usb A to C cable has 18w, 30w, 35w, 36w charging support)
      Only thing I don't understand and don't like is that 7.5w + 7.5w distribution in USB A + USB C2 port. Other than that it's very good for most people.

    • @TravellinGeek
      @TravellinGeek  7 месяцев назад +1

      I have also said the same. Yes, there will be slight losses in multiport charging. But that 7.5W + 7.5W is a bad decision.

      Yes, you can. It uses USB PD and USB PD PPS. But the CMF charger can't provide the full 68W since it's 65W only. Also if you want a full 65W then you will need to use it single port only (C1 port). If you are fine then get it.

      This charger provides proper 45W to my S23U. So any Samsung Galaxy device supporting the same Super Fast Charging 2.0 protocol with 45W rated power should be able to get 45W input from this CMF 65W GaN charger. You will need a proper 5A cable for that.

      Unfortunately, no PD charger can charge OP devices at high speeds because they do not support the USB PD standard for higher wattages. While OP devices can be charged with USB PD chargers, the charging power is limited to a range of 10-18W.

    My S23 Ultra is taking a long time to fully charge (Around 1 hr 40 mins as opposed to 1 hr) using the CMF charger. Is it because the in-box cable that Samsung provides with the S23U is not capable of 45W charging?

    • @TravellinGeek
      @TravellinGeek  7 месяцев назад +3

      Yes, the cable is rated at 3A. You need a 5A cable and always use the C1 port of the CMF charger for the S23U. Your S23U should show at least Super Fast Charging which is a protocol for 25W charging or Super Fast Charging 2.0 which is a protocol for 45W charging standards by Samsung.

      Please note that OnePlus uses its proprietary standard for 65W charging. They do not use global standards like USB PD or USB PD PPS. Only the original OnePlus charger and cable can charge your OnePlus device faster. OnePlus uses a different PIN design than the standard USB IF designs for their cable. So, any third-party cable won't give the same performance as you will get with the original OnePlus cable and charger when charging the OnePlus device.

      That depends on the notbook actually. If that supports the USB PD purely, then yes the charger will give that much power of 65W if only one port is used, that's C1 or C2. You will also need good quality 100W compatible cable with the USB E marker certification. I have seen my MBP16 accepting 65W power when used with the Inicio cable which I have shown in this video. But 65W won't be consistent till 100% charging since the laptop will drop consuming power as the battery gets charged near to the 100% level.

      1. CMF charger charges the Phone 1 at 33W. Total time was around 1 hour and 05 mins max from 0-100.
      2. It also charges the NP2 at 45W.
      3. CMF charger also charges the #GalaxyS23Ultra at 45W with USB PD PPS and Super Fast Charging 2.0 Protocol.
      4. Frankly, I am not happy anymore with Stuffcool's newer launches like their charging station in 100W and 120W models. When using all ports the charger many times doesn't provide proper output and disconnects some ports. So I won't recommend this brand with their new models. The one I have shown is now a discontinued model.
      5. Stuffcool's Nepolean charger which I have shown doesn't provide full 33W to Phone 1 even when the battery is at 1%. Max, I have seen that it provides the output of around 25W to Phone 1.

      25w are accepted when the battery is quite low. Once the battery starts to charge and the charging increases above 30% the input wattage drops gradually. The max wattage is 25 under SFP. The standard is USB PD PPS and under this there is no constant same amount of wattage is used to charge the battery till the level 100%. Same thing will happen with the original Samsung 25W charger and compatible cable.

    Hey need help with something
    I've samsung s24 plus and it does get charged at super fast charging 2.0 with 5A cable of samsung in this charger in C1 port, but as soon as I put another device on charge in C2 port it gets reduced to superfast charge only which makes no sense as it clearly shows on website that if I use C1 and C2 port simultaneously C1 port should still give me 45 watt of output and C2 would give 20 watt.
    I've purchased it from flipkart and had verified it through customer care at time of open box delivery and according to them it's original charger. Can you enlighten me on this as whether this happens to you too?

      The problem is with the Samsung software. I'm experiencing the same issue with chargers from other brands that can output up to 120W, with one port providing up to 65W and using another port simultaneously. However, my S23U only accepts input at 25W and supports the Super Fast Charge protocol, which is limited to 25W. This issue is not present with Nothing Phone 2, which accepts a full 45W from the C1 port while the C2 port gives output up to 20W to other compatible devices.

    Is this charger compatible with honor 90?

    • @TravellinGeek
      @TravellinGeek  5 месяцев назад

      I am not so sure. Since Honor does not specify which global USB PD or Qualcomm Quick Charge standards their Honor 90 supports. It uses a proprietary Super Charging 66W protocol which is not supported by the CMF charger.

      It will heat up but won't heat up abnormally. Every GaN charger will heat up and especially those which are with high wattage output. It's a moderate heat up.

      Usko warp speed pe nahin charge karega par wo OP ka phone USB PD aur Qualcomm Quick Charge standards support karta hai toh 18W ka input accept karna chahiye.

    I would like to make a correction about the PD charging. In Xiaomi phones, though while charging it doesn't write
    “MI Turbocharge", the charging time is same as 33w charger provided by Xiaomi . I tried it on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 5g (using type c to type c cable) which has 5000mah battery and supports 33w fast charging. It charged my phone in 1hr 05 mins which is same as the time taken by Xiaomi 33w charger.

    • @TravellinGeek
      @TravellinGeek  7 месяцев назад

      Good to know that the newer devices from Xiaomi have supported the USB PD standard as well for their proprietary MI Turbo 33W charging. Their older devices like Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, Redmi 10 Pro Max didn't support 33W USB PD charging. For those devices, the Quick Charge written means it was 18W.

      That depends on whether your Dell laptop accepts power input via USB C port using the USB PD standard and the max input is needed under 65W.
