Until Finals night, they were no lower than Second in any of the tour shows that Summer. Coats slipped by that last night in Indy. My son aged out on the snare line, and due to the field coverage, this was a very challenging show to synchronize across 90 yards of field.

I think in a few years this show will be viewed in hindsight the way Cadets ‘08 is now. Echoing another commenter, they were ridiculously clean, plus the brass arrangement has a certain early aughts feel to it as well.
They didn't deserve the hate they got from the community this year. I agree that the Coats had the better finals performance, but let's give credit where credit is due. The Cadets were great too.

What a great ensemble of fantastic performers. Cool drill mostly. But WHAT is that narration? Cringe. And the last two minutes devolves into the second worst DCI show Ive ever seen. Just awful. "Yes we can" Obama getting the final word over JFK. Then the corps says it!! Did this beat Crown at finals? I can't imagine that. This is a really bad creation. It would have been fine without the horrendous narration.

It was a Broken Arrow 2018 production minus the goofy parachute pants, hoping to use pro military industrial-complex propaganda to tug at the judges heart strings for a win. Fell flat on its face. The narration is God awful and cringe inducing. 1950s, B52 mumbo jumbo blaring out of electronic crap and speakers made in China at $3.75 an hour. If 2019 was their worst, this is a close second. Over-dramatic, immature, annoying and underwhelming. How about this quote for your Chinese made speakers, the only thing to fear, is fake fear itself.
