Thank Manju! I really appreciate it! Also, I'm always thrilled and amazed to have my friends actually watch what I make, definitely one of the best parts of all this.
Haha, yeah the roller coaster was real. The hardest part was last year when it was $60k and I couldn't find a safe way to sell it. But I'm really happy with how it turned out and have no regrets.
Thanks for taking the time to comment! Hope you're doing well!

I watched that race too, I love Jason Camisa, he's a great presenter! Was interesting to see how much the Z stomped the other cars.
Haha, thanks, it's actually a new Proline Cliffhanger body I just painted up to put on the one I had. I'm close to building the course (those blocks of wood under it), and will probably sneak that into a video too. :)

The good news is I don't consider Crypto (of any kind) an investment, and use traditional investments in my real portfolio. This was just something I tried to learn how it works, and it ended up actually having some value (completely unexpected by me).

Me again Fred... Loved your story. Power to ya! Speaking of Power, I know the Multistrada quite well. First I had a 1000 then the 1200. The two bikes were worlds apart. The 1000 had a dry clutch and was something different. Don't let me ramble here. I'm a huge bike enthusiast and have owned 56 bikes to date. I'd like you to know my best bikes of all time ZX12R, KTM 950, 990, 1290(the beast) and of course the Multistrada 1200. You're going to love it. My motto... If you hurt yourself on the street bike, it's your fault. You MUST drive defensively. Use the power to get yourself out of trouble but don't be stupid. I'm a real hooligan and always have been. 3rd gear 90mph on the highway and go WOT to wheelie a good 1/4 mile of so... You get my point. I feel as confident doing that as I do walking across the room without falling down. Just remember you might trip on something you didn't see or ?? To my point again. If you hurt yourself, it's your fault. Be safe out there and cOnGrAtUlAtIoNs !!!!

That's awesome! I didn't know you were a big bike enthusiast! And by big I mean huge! 56, wow that's awesome!! I'm in the 12-13 bike range currently, I gotta get on that!
That's awesome though. I've ridden a lot of other bikes, always have fun swapping with friends on a ride.
Thanks for sharing your best bikes list. That 1290. I've done a demo ride on one (gen 1) and LOVED it. I still regularly peruse bike listings, in case there's ever a deal on one (any gen). I see that bike being a good 2nd or 3rd bike. My hope is that this Multi will be a great "primary bike", good at everything (comfortable, powerful, looks good, reliable), and then any other bikes I get in addition will be more focused. I love how super-nakeds are becoming a popular class. Comfort with unlimited power. I've ridden a few like the S1000R, and whew they're fast! Yesterday I just learned about the M1000R....220hp in a naked platform. Crazy!
Agreed with you on street riding and risk. I tend to ride fairly reserved on road, other than maybe some short stints on really winding back roads. I found that track riding was a good (safe) way for me to get my speed fix, and build my skills. Agree completely though, you have to be completely aware, ride defensively, and stay away from all the other idiots out there to do it safely. You definitely have skill to be able to do long wheelies like that. I used to be able to on a dirtbike, but at like 30-40 lol.
Thanks for sharing, loved hearing about it! Glad to meet another 2 wheel enthusiast! My only question, what bike(s) do you have currently?
      Have a nice weekend!

@@FredsFullThrottle I must say bikes are like candy, you got to try every flavor. I started at a very young age strictly on dirt and all the neighborhood kids had bikes. We were all buying and selling upgrading getting better and better bikes. As the years roll slowly past, I made my way to street and dual purpose bikes. Later in life I could afford the really cool bikes... I always had one and many times had two or three at a time. Once I had 5 and had to store one at my mother's house. I simply did not have room to store all the toys.
I would think you've seen the movie "On Any Sunday" the original with Malcom Smith and Steve McQueen. That was the holy grail of movies in it's day. The kids at the beginning on bicycles - Yep, that was me.
To your question, what bike do I own today... I left out one of my favorite KTM... The Adventure 1190. What a bike that is... So closely related to the Multi Strada. Anyway I recently sold the 1190 and currently don't have a bike. I'm 59 years old and starting to feel like a cat who's nine lives have all been spent. Down to my last life and getting out of the two wheeled game. Been spending more time on Corvettes and the likes. 2015 with an A&A supercharger, Meth and headers = 721hp. 2019 Roush Mustang with 750hp. I should be getting my 2023 70th Anniversary soon - I'm at status 3000 now.
Not boasting! I like you just love being a gearhead and love talking and sharing stories with like minded people. Keep doing what you do Fred, I love your blog here !!

Shane, my man! How's it going!
Glad you enjoyed the story! As the whole thing was coming together, someone, I think my mom or dad was like "that might be a fun topic for a video". The whole thing seems so surreal, like one of those "internet stories" you read about, but it was actually happening to me. Ultimately the videos I enjoy the most are ones I can share an experience or paint a picture with words, rather than just report on the news.
I definitely will report on the bike once I get some time riding it.
Haha, yup! It's a little RC rock crawler called an SCX24. Small, easy to bring with you, and batteries last a long time. That wooden thing it's on is a WIP, it will be an off road course that's reconfigurable. Think of the wooden blocks like Legos, and when I build a lip around the edge (to hold them in), and then cut them to different lengths/shapes, I can move the blocks around to make a different surface, endlessly reconfigurable. I just put up some new shelves in my office, and the board on the bottom is the exact size of the shelves. The course may end up in my office as a fun little toy to play with. Side note, I'm itching to take the Taco out on some offroad trails, hopefully this Spring, definitely will film! How's your new Truck treating you?

Hi Fred. Thanks for the fun story. Wish you could’ve cashed out at 70k. Congrats on the bike and well. I had a 2009 Ducati 848 about 12 years ago. Unfortunately, i laid it down, ended up with road rash on my hip and my wife made me sell it (I was wearing gloves, helmet and jacket, or it would’ve been worse). I miss riding. Looking forward to hearing about your experience on the bike. Have fun and stay safe!

Fred...and here before you got into your story, I was prepared to offer you a 100% profit plus a tip! LOL...
Some months ago, I had considered dipping in my toe into the crypto market by buying some Ethereum. As I watched it, it just continued to go down. I lost the fascination and never got any...5 years from now, we will see if I may have made an error or not. A friend did buy some Bitcoin several years ago at a few $100 each and kept them through the giant gain up to something like $50,000 each and did not sell some as I advised. But he now building a house so recently sold some of it to help expenses.

    • @FredsFullThrottle
      @FredsFullThrottle  2 года назад

Personally I don't see any of crypto as an investment, and even though I got lucky, there are way more stories of people losing their shirt to it, than making out in it. Maybe it makes sense for people that like risk, but I'm not one of them. Good luck and be careful if you do!

Hows it going Fred? Cool story. I've built computers since 2001 so heard about bitcoin early and was mining bitcoin back when it was possible, before the bunkers full of asic machines. I sold some when it was 25k and some again when it was 50k. I still have a couple cryptos on my wallet I'm holding. I don't recommend big investments into it over real estate and the stock market.
Any 4 year period in the market its always been up from a prior 4 years, but these last 2 years have been so bad that rule may not hold true much longer. It's like there's an unelected political class destroying our great country on purpose.

      Hi Vettesweetnos!
That's cool to hear! Nice to hear you made some coming out of it! Those asic machine are really interesting, so finely tuned for one specific task, not very useful for anything else. It's been interesting hearing the change that's rocked the Eth community in the last couple months. I don't fully understand all the mechanics, but it's interesting nonetheless.
