Ohh great. There goes kaspa too. Asics be damned. And the race to 0 starts over.
It's definitely concerning, but given the cost of FPGAs I don't think this is going to be the end of Kaspa, just a chance for people who have been using their old FPGAs as paperweights to actually turn a profit, maybe finish paying them off finally.
Been thinking about picking up an FPGA for a while. With the price of power going up, I just managed to snag 3 of these FK33s - and they are mining on a Raspberry Pi. Efficient AF!
I've been looking at getting my hands on a xilinx fpga myself, too talk about the difference between bitstreams and mining pools
I always wanted to know what it's like owning hardware that requires verlog to use.... Are the block chain algorithms something that can be compiled for an FPGA as well as how do you obtain the schematics for some random FPGA... The paywall for FPGAs is insane you often need special software just to be able to compile basic verlog because every silicon has their own nuances. I can't imagine porting the software from GPU to FPGA... My only hope is that there's some standard for verlog that these companies are using for the basic operations
How does the bitstream get programmed to the FK? I can see them in the terminal as listed devices and when I run the mining command it can't find the bitstream
Very Cool Video RPM, I really like mining Kaspa and wish it was left to GPUs ONLY so we have something to mine moderately profitably. We (GPU Miners) have it hard trying to find coins to mine.
Hahahah, agree with that :)
Mine meowcoin bro
nice, fpga's sound awesome, but i'm kinda unsure how to use one.
I just did my first transaction in KAS from one of my wallets to another wallet. I got to see the speed of the transaction from leaving one wallet to arriving in the other wallet. It was all completed in less than 10 seconds! Kaspa has a big future!
Nano (XNO) can do it in less than a sec LOL
10 seconds tx time is super slow for a modern day blockchain
@@alekxcrafter It was less than that. I'm use to moving Eth and that takes a long time. I was stunned by how fast it was.
@@tofaz1325 have you not noticed the crypto world the last year? Anything not POW has proven to be garbage.
@@Homebrewcrypto garbage in what sense? Nano is blazingly fast and feeless, what you want more than this?
Where can I get bunch of these FPGA's? Been searching for over 2 months now.
GPU miners: fuck
Good stuff! Now Red Fox Crypto can finally get his fpga that's been in the background up and mining again!
Thanks as always RPM! Let's go brooo!!!
Where did you buy it?
Red Panda - where did you bought this FPGA????? Can you please say the link?
Where do you buy it from?
Were are those heatsink fans from.. need them for my FK33.. thanks!
Nice wow! great info ! as always!
Where I could buy thoose FpGA
Thanks for the video and update for the future
Can ot mine other algorithms too?
I just received my TH53 FPGA today, and have 2x of the E300's on order for January. Looking forward to trying these out.
Where do you buy them from?
@@FLYINGSAHOTA Got them from Richard Lo.
Whats is the price of fpga
Nice hashrate, personally not a fan of FPGA's but they can be very efficient.
Once the fpga is built and released asics are already in the works. plebs never see the latest greatest. That’s reserved for the manufacturers. Hold out as long as they can until competition creates one. Then they all seem to come at once as if it wasn’t already running at their farms. It’s a cruel joke at this point. Can’t say I don’t blame them. It’s how capitalism shapes the mind. Greed
core algo so fpgas and later asics win
What’s the reason for not being a fan? I prefer gpu for the fact of resale value
@@Soupy101 Same
Where i found fpga ?? How i bought it ??
Squirrel scammed me years ago. Paid for a single chip bitfury miner. Supposedly the most efficient in the world. Never did get it. Paid .1 btc at the time. Was only a few hundred bucks lol. The guy was from missouri I found out. Tinkerer wanting to compete with corporate mining manufacturers. Took a bunch of our money under the guise of beer and chip funds lol. Scammers gonna scam.
yeah, that is crazy.. When we think that we found the right coin to mine with GPU, this FPGA's comes along, and vouila.. I'm sad lol
There goes the hashrate. Seeya kaspa 😅
I thought our communities were against fpga and asic takeovers of networks. Is @sonofatech and others ok with kaspa becoming fpga and asic networks? Are the devs doing anything to stop this?
Kaspa is on the road to FPGAs then to ASICs and the final goal is Optical Mining (Laser mining). Devs are not changing the algorithm. This isn't a GPU only coin. It started with cpus. Think Bitcoin, slow progression to more efficient mining
been fpga since 2021 dec
The kheavyhash algorithm is not meant to gpu only. The devs won't help. If you believe in Kaspa, mine what you can now and DCA in while it's still under a cent.
@@davey1321 or get an asic 🤘🤣🤘
Why would devs do anything to squash having higher hashrates and a smaller carbon footprint ???
Kaspa fast blocks..kaspa is the best 👍👍
do you think its good time to buy the iPollo V1 Mini Classic Plus 280Mh? its 480 right now?
Kaspa a new gem...👍🚀🚀🚀
Can you run an FPGA on a Raspberry Pi? That would make it even more efficient if so!
Yew you can. There is a guy on YT that does this
sh!t.. it helping a lot. i almost wanna throw this FGPA out. thank you so much.
thank you for christmast gift.....solid follower here from philippines
This FPGA looks most likely like off the shelf FPGA development board from major manufacturer like Xylinx or something like that.
I think SQRL squirrel whatever were just rebranding those development boards, Xylinx wasn't happy about that and they refused sale of those dev boards.
Tho I'm surprised those old FPGAs are still relevant I thought those were killed by 2000 or 3000 series nvidia GPUs in terms of efficiency.
Każde FPGA można zaprogramować pod dowolne algo?

Forget Kaspa, already late, get yourself ready for Dynex.
There you go....kaspa is doomed ....
AMD announced that they are increasing their prices on the FPGA chips.
And the start of price sky rocket era begin =]
Don't worry guys and gals. Flux will be our home to go to just wait
Yeahh FK33!
There's a GPU supplies shortage, and nobody is talking about it? lol
Goodbye KASPA coin hashrate :(
Do RXD NOW!!!
i hope you , i can mining in philippines
lets not endorse things that are against gpus.....
I was able to get my hands on a stock FK33 and I am able to hit 2.09 Gh/s at ~110W (measured on elmor PMD) on each using --fpga_vcc_int=733 --fpga_vcc_bram=773 --fpga_vcc_mem=1050 --fpga_clk_core=525
maybe 1 or 2 to sell ? :)
just how damb u have to be to mine this on ath ngroid
They will be to expensive for your typical miner profitability will prob stay the same.
I am not interested in ASICS, but I am FPGA's. Probably because I have never had one.
FPGAs are awesome! Though there been times where GPUs made way more, but there were times where FPGAs made way more.
Too bad on a residential miner perspective, buying FPGA is almost like buying an ASIC lol
how ? They consume very low power and are silent, its the complete opposite. Only downside is price and disponibility of bitstream and physical cards
that FPGA is a 2018ish model, the new FPGA's are 3-4 times more powerful than that one
Yeah, but you would have to be deeply involved in the fpga community or pay premium money for an miner for the newer fpga´s. FK and SQ are old, but still not a lot of open source miners for those, so guessing even fewer for the new fpgas.
Can you give some models of which FPGAa are more powerful than this fk33?
@@reactor8502 Artix UltraScale+ AU7P, BittWare CVP-13, Atom miner AM01 and Varium C1100.
Octominer full of fpga lol
well bye kaspa, back to drawing board..... you sould do a vid on vertcoin see what you can explain to the community
There is no professional KASPA mining machine.
MOD IT you need content.
Ja ja ja oke... No good 0.18$ power/kw
Noooooooooo
Hey, I recognize that FPGA :) (Am I famous now?)
LMAO yes man hey how much for 5 more? lol
@@RedPandaMining About $700 a piece right now I think. They are holding value pretty well vs. GPU's for some reason (I assume the reason is that they have other application areas and are still crazy efficient and could be ran against new algos etc. and prob be used for AI/Machine learning tasks).
I'm interested as well. How can I get in contact with you?
maybe it is time to stop using gpu to mining kaspa when more fpga or asic coming.
in a short time kaspa will not be useful for anyone !! too much hash and the coin is worthless!! There are many coins but they all got into ruining this network!! ambition is the perfect definition of the human being!! For my part, I mine alph and ergo .. hopefully the network will not hold and I will expel them all
hate fpga, can't buy it :(
