Used 4th Gen Clio or New 5th Gen?

If you're in the market for a Clio, should you look at a used 4th generation one or buy a brand new one with the new tech? A short look at the pros and cons.

Clio 5 is a big improvement.

Here in the UK a second hand 4th gen costs less than ½ the price of a new one (15k+ Vs £6,000)

I liked your previous videos and expected some sort of comparison between 2 evolutions instead of new vs. used car general gossip. Sorry, but not very useful. Don't know about Slovenia but you can still buy unused 4th gen Clio in short or estate (Grandtour) variant from Renault dealers here in Czech Republic. 0,9 Tce 75 and 90 only. They need to sweep them out from their stock before the end of the year so the prices are at the very bottom. 20 or even 30% cheaper than somewhat comparable 5th gen spec. Basic short Tce 75 can be bought well below an equivalent of 9000 EUR. That's not much more than the price of 3 or 4 year old used Clios. So the comparison of performance, consumption and throttle response between new 1.0 Tce 100 or even updated 90 with GPF vs old 0,9 Tce 75/90 could be quite interesting.

Tce is turbo 90hp or 100hp or 130hp 75hp no turbo

@@Nektar76 Let me clarify it for you, as there were quite a few variants:-) Clio Mk4 had following Tce engines: 1,2 Tce 120hp (different engine than 1,2 Tce in Mk3), 0,9 Tce 90hp and later production years had also 0,9 Tce downtuned to 75hp, as replacement for old 1,2 non turbo engine with 75hp but lower max torque. New Clio Mk5 started with 1.0 Tce 100hp and 1,33 Tce 130hp. Facelifted Mk5 has 1.0 Tce downtuned to 90hp due to addition of exhaust particulate filter. Unless it is LPG version, which still has 100hp when running on LPG due to high octane number :-)

Simple answer. If you have the budget always go for the Clio 5.
