  • ACUPRESSURE TO INDUCE LABOR NATURALLY | Yes, you read that right! There are certain points on the body that you can actually apply pressure to help with inducing labor! In this video, you will learn 3 acupressure points to help kickstart labor as well as points that are beneficial for relieving pain during labor naturally. The three points are SP 6 acupressure point, BL 32 acupressure, LI 4 acupressure. As you’re watching and preparing for labor and delivery, you’ll learn how to speed up labor naturally and how to get through contractions with the help of your birth team. Acupressure is one of my favorite labor and delivery tips for dad or any birth team member!
Be cautious using acupressure points during pregnancy as they can potentially begin labor. If you are not yet term (37+ weeks) you should avoid doing these acupressure points more than just finding where they are on the body!

We used this method to ease the pain during induction, very effective! I draw black dots on the back acupressure points to help locate them during contractions ;)
We prepared using a book called the bonapace method and these acupressure points were part of the technique. :)

    2:15 - BL32 ( LOWER BACK CLOSE TO BOTTOM)
    3:13 - L14 (HAND)

I don’t mean to criticise but the point between the thumb and index finger The Hegu is in fact LI 4 large intestine 4. It is the correct point though a great point to relieve pain throughout the body. Xx

Okay so this worked for me 100% I was having light contractions and I did it once before going to bed…. My water broke the next morning. During labor I used the hand one on myself and although labor took 12 hours it definitely helped relax me and speed up the cervix.

How often do we do those points to induce?

@Esmeevans378 okay so it's kind of funny that you commented on my comment, since this is an Old Post. But here's some tips now that I have five kids. I have tried everything to induce labor over the years. And I mean everything. Only one thing worked, The midwives brew. Do not skip on the castor oil. Don't do any extra though. Only the little bit that they recommend is enough. All the other things in the midwives brew help to be more substantial. I did not have any negative reactions to it. I did however go into labor the same night that I drink it. If you do research you find that it's actually highly successful in inducing labor

Hello just a correction for you. The hand point for pain is not LUNG 14 (LU4) it is LARGE INTESTINE 4 (LI4)

Some people prefer to call contractions "surges" it seems to give them less anxiety 🤷🏽‍♀️ I'm 39 weeks with number 7... They are contractions 😅😅😅❤
