I drove all the way out to Key West, kayaking along the way down and back up. Also got to check the Everglades off the National Park List.

I cannot imagine doing what you did, but it has been fun following you some of the time. You have not been alone since you shared your journey with us in this way. You have a good head on your shoulders using caution as needed. The canyon on the east coast is fascinating. Never heard of it. Will check it out now.

Thank you for your build out of your van and your travels. You've made my days during this pandemic go by quick. Informative ideas and adventures. I've never actually heated it in the can before! I need to try that at some point. And I'm hoping my little Cube makes it cute camper too 🤣

I hope you're able to see a lot of awesome stuff on your journey! It's really surreal and being out on the road just traveling nomadically. Not really having a plan is a fantastic feeling, but do plan to bring bear spray. I have learned that 😂

Yaaay, it makes me happy to see you came to my home state of Florida. Can't wait to go check out Providence Canyon, now that I see they do allow pets on the trail. Did you happen to see many people with pets as you walked along there? I am not sure if it was accurate or not, but it didn't seem like there were hardly any people there when you went. Your Kia looks like it will make a really cute vanlife vehicle. Can't wait to see how you rig it out. Thanks again for another lovely episode.
I only saw three groups of people while I was on the trails, seeing as how it was so early in the morning. But one couple did actually have a dog, so you should be good. Plus there wasn't really any difficult terrain.

@@christopherroyluna2877 planning to turn my cube into a little camper for short trips into the mountains and maybe out to the coast just within North and South Carolina.
Beyond that my brother and I may travel to Europe a little later this year, but if that doesn't work out I'm going to try and go out west with him, maybe to the Colorado area.
Thanks for the videos, Ian. I have really enjoyed your approach to traveling since my van is just like yours and I hope to camp in it at some time. I am also a musician, so I have really appreciated your wonderful theme and all the clever variations accompanying the videos. Have also lived in South Carolina and got my music degree in North Carolina and really enjoyed the glimpse of your current gig. Best wishes in your future travels and especially your music making!

It's sad to see it end. Did you do the video saying what you'd do differently in the van build? I watched you from the beginning. I'm getting ready to have my brother in law do a build for me so I can start after the weather breaks this spring. Your bed design and one other design is what I'm debating between. Any tips while it's fresh in your memory would be cool. Are you going to do videos in the future of the car build? I love your videos. Honest, fun and you don't try to sugarcoat things.
Yeah, I'm sad to be selling the van too. But I'm not done traveling! And no, I haven't done that video yet. I need to get back into the swing of shooting videos. I'll be shooting video of the car build for sure though.
As far as the bed goes, I don't think I would do it the same way again to be honest. It's not necessarily a bad way to set up the van and it gives you some good leg room, but for a single person I think a fixed bed is maybe best. It's just one less thing to do when going to bed. I know that seams silly, but setting up the bed gets old after a while. (It's little annoying things like that that makes people burn out I think.)
I still think the converting bed design is the best out there for a full sized bed in a minivan though, for two people traveling. That's how it was set up originally by the guy that made the design.
A few other things, you want the bed on the drivers side so your sliding door doesn't open on the traffic side when you parallel park and I'd do curtains instead of reflecting insulation for the windows.
I'll make a video on all of this though and expand more.
Great to see you again. We're down in Fl from NH ourselves. I have a ? about audio work if you don't mind. We love watching football on tv but get annoyed by the crowd noise sometimes, it's distracting. Is there a way to tone that down on a live broadcast like the KC/Bengals game this past weekend? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks and keep on filming!
Yes, different audio engineers mix a little differently. A lot of guys really love to have a bunch of crowd sound, but I usually try to keep it a little quieter so you can actually understand what the announcers are saying.
I'm afraid I can't do anything about the game you were watching though, hahaha. Most of my gigs are just smaller colleges.

Thank you for another great video. The cars were likely dumped in the head of the Canyon to stop the erosion. It really does not work for stopping erosion... So was the minivan just too big for one or did you decide keeping 2 vehicle was too much hassle? I'm just curious. Thank you again for taking us along.
Well I always had it in the back of my head to sell the van after using it. With the car market where it is right now it just seams like a good time. I should be able to recoup my investment.
Also it leaves me open to maybe buy a new larger van. Or even a 4x4 van of some kind.
I will say, it is sad to sell the van hahaha. I like it a lot, but it seams like the smart thing to do.
