That snooty dude is insufferable!! Is he really so daft that he cannot see that the 2 dancers are slightly airborne, giddy with glee to rush and join in dancing?? Or, even worse, he sees it, but jealously pretends not to, as of course, no one can 'out brilliant' him, especially the artist himself. And how he measures his words so crafting, so slowly, all must wait extra long for each manipulative word to fall, as he assures his own reign of power. He's absolutely insufferable! Clearly sour grapes, and not well masked at that.
He even drops the ball further with those two dancers, not noting the allegory of "chaotic order" directing the eye to the subtle, but very present, church in the background... he needs to wrap himself up in that blanket which hung at half mast, and have himself a little think or three!!!

To have lived through what common people lived through in an era when the penalty of revealing one’s true feelings of their beliefs was death as a heretic must have been incredibly agonizing on top of dealing with out crops of the plague, poverty and disease. Interestingly enough many very famous scientists and artists of those times who were educated enough to read, listen to or perhaps translate the Greek Septuagint version of the Scriptures or hear of small but important lessons, knew in their hearts that the deplorable degrading false teachings of the clergy and their way of life clashed directly with what they were supposed to be teaching. Maybe this artist was deeply troubled by the hypocrisy as so many are even to our day. Some courageously spoke up and worked diligently under duress to translate, others made private notations due to the fear of being burnt at the stake. These so called teachings still exist but so does the truth that so many back then gave their lives for to make sure that we could examine it. This artist really appears to have attempted to contrast and show the hypocrisy in his art. What a sad job when he enjoyed painting nature. His harvest paintings and of seasons show so much more joy and happiness of life. 😊

    • @sanniepstein4835

@@sanniepstein4835 Hope this answer will address your question. Just speaking discreetly about history, it has been openly recorded that the world’s wars have had the support of different religions, whether deity or deities. It is ironic since it is a common theme in all of them to “be peaceful.” It is rather unnatural to hate one that another hasn’t met. Some artists and others were very careful to not get caught up in a life or death situation in their work or in expressing their own thoughts openly. Others did take risks. Here are just a few people that did take a tremendous amount of risk-, Desiderius Erasmus( whose command of Greek and Latin made him a target),William Tyndale, Huldrych Zwingli ( a former priest), the list is actually quite long and crosses cultures and reasonings of different faiths. Their desire was for obtaining proper Biblical translations in common languages devoid of preconceived theology assumptions and they taught peacefully and publically what they were convinced of and many of these innocent people were put to death by the religious leaders instigation. The backlash came from those who were the leaders of the religions and not just those claiming to be Christian. These people who gave up their lives were convinced to their very core that they understood that what they once thought was truth had been misleading people for centuries. They felt a God given responsibility to tell the truth far and wide and share openly that there is no ambiguity of teachings with our Creator. I really enjoyed the peaceful scenery paintings of Peter Bruegel because we all desire to be busy in a good way with enjoying our lives no matter where we live in the world. Not all of his paintings depicted gross topics with a bit of truth to them and he obviously worked hard to accomplish his art. He certainly shared his feelings. I can certainly relate to your question because we live perilous times indeed and according to what was painstakingly translated and verified beyond any doubt so that we have real reason to have hope. That’s happy news. :)
