    I almost feel like creating 3 more accounts to like this video even more. Standing still should be considered a fundamental principle.

    This is like the 200th video on freeskating and I was surprised that these basics aren't covered more often (first time I saw them addressed). Especially as somebody about to begin, this looks very fun and useful.

    I actually got a second pair of freeskates to have two types of wheels without changing it, but I ended up using the new pair as a balancing board for my standing desk. It's actually a heck of a workout because I'm not experienced yet and I'm still building the needed inner thigh muscles that I would not really use much if I don't skate in the first place. It works better than the other balancing boards that are just one piece. Another trick is that you can try to turn the skates 90 deg and you'd get less of the deck to stand on, which also gives it some more challenge.

    Not sure if anyone had mentioned this, but it would have been nice if the title had mentioned maybe in parenthesis that the trick is about standing. I had seen this video previously, but didn't remember what the name of it was, and struggled to find the video where you are describing how to do this. Maybe the title could be edited to make it easier to find?

    I've been trying to learn this lately and *man* do my feet dislike turning more than 90deg from each other. I really can't get them to such a wide angle, and trying to get them there is pretty uncomfortable. Still working on it anyway! Heh heh.

      😂😂 and oh that’s interesting, hopefully you can stretch out over time and it becomes more comfortable!

    so, I can't turn my foot 90° while I'm standing, the grip of the wheels on the road is better than the grip of the foot on the deck. it seems to be a problem, doesn't it?

    • @jmkride
      @jmkride  Год назад

      It's just part of the learning process. The more comfortable you become on the skates the easier it will be to make that turn. Learning switch will also help
