Imagine raising your son for over 20 years, just for him to steal from you, get caught, and think that it was legal 😭
You'd be wondering where you went wrong in raising him
Man probably plays too much GTA
I'd be so disappointed 😂
@@agamerdude7596 well no because theres no “time” in gta where crime is legal, if he did play alot of gta he would have at least learned that one thing. I would be soooo ashamed if i had a kid and he turned out that stupid. Like not only did you fail at parenting but you also raised one of the dumbest people of all time.
Some dude in my class likes gta wouldn’t expect it if he tries robbing a bank by bribing the police with meth.
The Finders Keepers guy might have a legitimately decent defense if he can get a good enough lawyer.
Assuming he returned the stuff all well-kept, I’d release my charges, assuming he never came back.
I could see that as an honest mistake
Better call saul
@Jubei Gore agreed. I think he was being honest about just being dumb in the moment. I mean the store left unsecured products outside after hours, so I'd say they are at least part of the blame
I was honestly thinking the same thing. I could certainly see where someone could make that mistake. I don’t know if he’s guilty, but as a juror, I could definitely see that as reasonable doubt.
For the first case, I think I understand where he got this invisibility idea. Lemon juice is known as "invisible ink" because you can write with it on paper and then carefully heat it up so that it will burn making the writing visible. How he though that this method can be applied to a person, I have no idea
He prob thought of it like a strap of camouflage
I think I remember watching a video that went more in depth on that case and you are correct he got the idea from invisible ink.
imagine being at the bank doing your job and suddenly smell lemon
yep, the article in the video mentions the invisible ink too
Dunning-krueger effect
By the way, he was the inspiration for the study that discovered it
The first bank robbery happened in the 1798. While successful, one robber died of yellow fever, and the other got arrested trying to deposit his money in the exact same bank.
I've actually knew about that from Huggbees, man that one almost made me laugh
@@Markiegee55 Really? I learned it from Black Yo- I mean Joshi.

“But I wore the juice” has got to be the best defense I’ve ever heard

He would have been more successful if the juice he wore was an OJ custume 😅
he is not dumb he is schizophrenic and schizophrenics should be freed
@@4r1mAS If he is schizophrenic then he still shouldn’t be let free and at least be treated for schizophrenia
The “FINDER’S KEEPERS” guy had a legitimate reason to be confused and I believed him after researching the story. He had seen the stuff on the porch for days and when u think about it with a sign like that anybody could’ve been confused
if the dude lived there though, he knew it was a store... i mean it's a good defense though, but yeah he knew. or else why would he rob it in the middle of the night. actually idk when he robbed it but the clip showed a dude taking something at night, idk if that was the actual footage or just stock footage.
Theres literally a store near me called the media free store and everything is free. There are often some pretty good things in there. Lots of clothes, kids toys, movies, books, and sometimes actual expensive electronics too. I totally believe this misunderstanding could happen, seeing as places like the free store actually exist.
@@Skatingprogress Yeah there's lots of free stores in my area as well. He could have actually been confused.
@@Skatingprogress and you know its free because it's near you and you have gathered information about your surroundings like all normal humans do. no doubt this guy did the same thing and knew this shit wasn't free. it's a mistake that could happen though for sure. It's just not going to happen often. especially if it's a store in someone's own town.
I'd also point out that most people would make sure it was free if they were from out of town, as a free store is unusual.
If I ever feel dumb, I just remember these people exists.
The insane stupidity of the criminal in the last story was just plain hilarious it had me uncontrollably giggling 😂😂
I actually feel bad for the finders keepers dude. He even returned the items. I think his intentions weren't evil.
Dumb as hell
I agree. He didn’t fight with police saying that it’s the stores fault it’s named that, he realized his mistake owned up to it and gave back the items.
Don’t feel bad. It’s called natural selection. You can’t fix stupid, doesn’t matter what his intentions were. It should still be illegal to steal shit even if you’re too dumb to understand that you’re stealing. No excuse
@@tinymiracle7785 Still. being ignorant is his fault, better ask what you don't know b4 doing what you're planning.
@@JinsFavouriteArmy entrapment still a thing can’t have a sign that say free tacos so good they’re free or finders keeps someone may take ur sign literally

True but it also led to people speculating if there is a mental condition where someone is overconfident when committing a crime.
It stings but ill be rich 🤣🤣🤣

I remember this one:
A guy robbed a gas station. The cashier on duty recognized him and gave his name and address to police. The cashier was the thief’s daughter.

“It was Jesus who gave them to me behind the KFC”
That’s a sentence I’ll never forget
To further explain McArthur Wheeler's story : he believed that lemon juice poured on his face would make him invisible from the observation that lemon juice when put on a pen and written on paper isn't visible, but becomes when exposed to heat from a match.
That's what you would in fact call "mistaken"
So much a mistake that such things has a name: Dunning-Kruger Effect and was studied on that case.
@@ANDREALEONE95 sounds interesting! Care to tell me more?
This makes him almost twice as dumb lol
But... the paper under the lemon juice stays visible the whole time

As a former NH resident, the stuff at Finders Keepers is literally just out there. There is this restaurant in Denver, I don’t quite remember what it’s called, but it is pretty much a police officer hang out. Pretty much the entire time the restaurant is open, there is a police officer eating there. One time two guys barged in and tried to extort the hostess, this might have worked, if there wasn’t a table of police officers right next to them.
One of my favorite parts about watching Sunny is the fact that there really is no intro or outro. He delivers the high quality content, then gets out of your way without wasting any more time, not to mention never begging for likes or subscriptions. o7

8:42 I know you could make the joke about every one of these criminals, but, this guy really thought he was playing GTA in real life.
Singleton’s charges included “Being too Stupid to Be a Productive Member of Society”.
I legit was surprised this individual is still alive by how dumb he is.
Literally has a lesser felony of trespassing but immediately after gaining freedom makes a decision that 1).would not allow him to escape his actions
2).gains him a new charge of felony grand theft auto because he did not want to “walk”
Well he got his wish because he can sit for 23 hours a day now for the next 9 years and enjoy not walking anywhere. Even funnier to me is that he legit did not have anyone to call to pick him up, did not ask for assistance to get a taxi, and essentially the walk to his house was Gods way of saying “if you ain’t willing to walk and enjoy the outside air and freedom, then you don’t deserve to freedom”
2:20 The burglary one is interesting because, historically speaking, he'd be correct. Under the common law, burglary was defined as the breaking and entering of a dwelling at night with the purpose of committing a felony. Most states have, however, eliminated the requirements that it be at night or be of a dwelling. Mind you, even if his state retained the common law definition, he'd still be liable for the underlying felony, which in this case would be larceny, so it was a stupid thing to do either way.
