Couldn’t have put it better myself. Something about knowing Wrex has that undying brotherly love for Shepard and trusts him the fate of his entire species just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I think it hits different because with Garrus, Tali and Liara, they tend to pretty much love you no matter what you do (barring Tali if you convict her Dad in ME2) but the fact that you only get this level of affection from Wrex if you earn it and truly do right by him makes it feel so much more special.
Hiding it from wrex, revealing it to mordin and then letting mordin cure is the best version for dramatic effect.

Is there a video on that on youtube? I don't have an ME3 playthrough going right now...

Nah: he wound up with an army of female krogans waiting at the door to his place. And that was the least of what happened....
After destroying Saren’s base on Virmire I felt like I more than owed it to Wrex to cure the Genophage. I couldn’t betray him like that!
Exactly! Why couldn't I copy Saren's cure and just let Wrex have the data?
I accidentally hit the wrong button when talking to Wrex. I fully agreed that the genophage should have been cured.
If it was Wreav I definitely would betrayed him, then again I never killed Wrex in the first place.
So do I. I prefer a krogan who wants to rebuild his people (Wrex) rather than someone who wants all the females to himself and wants revenge (Wreav).

Technically, it was the STG Teams that came, but I'm spitting hairs.
it wasnt the dalatrass it was the salarian councilor and more to do with saving him from Kai Lang then saving them in ME1. Plus if Captain Kirahee survived Virmire he also gives you war assets.
When I first played me1 I wasn't sure about wrex at first but as I got to know him I saw his point of view. I mainly saved him so I could have more troops and he's powerful. But watching him in the sequels I saw how much more I liked him and how much he grew as a character. And when I got that call I was like "fuck u bitch! There's no way in hell Im betraying Wrex!"
Lol same. Unfortunately Iost my old ME1 &2 files so had to start ME3 fresh with that douche brother of his, wreav. Of course, I chose to cure the genophage secretly *snicker*
@@cwoherem Somewhere is a website that has old ME1 and 2 saves. I had a program that would allow you check boxes as well to get the perfect save file.
Look at Mordin when Shepherd reveals the Sabotage. He is genuinely shocked.
Knowing this, I will never betray Wrex. I hate the Dalatrass's guts. Wrex really wants things to change for the better for everyone. I'll always make sure Bakara is at his side too.

But the Yahg are described as highly intelligent. As in the case of the Yahg-Broker, who had learned how to run an extremely large information brokerage within a few years of becoming an Operative of the original Broker. It's not unlikely that the Yahg would learn how to take control of a ship in a short time.
Damn it's crazy how shepard and wrex are bros in this scene, but if you go full renegade and sabotage the shroud he becomes your bitter enemy.
Makes sense. They are bros in mass effect 2 wrex was very happy to see his friend shepard still alive. Sabotaging the cure after all you went through together of course wrex would feel betrayed and angry

When she basically asked me to stop Mordin by any means and to - even worse - betray the whole Krogan race I was like "You must be fucking kidding me, bitch". Instead of all that blathering I would have prefered ab option like "As soon as I've finished the reapers your ass is next in line". Salarians..... they used to eat flies..... :P
MCP/ChronicBuzz Yeah it is a good offer but curing the Krogan problem gives you way more troops later on and worth it too.
I was hoping that the game would give you an option to make the salarian "Offer" public and kick them of the council or leave them to the reapers or at least have Javik eat her liver alive .....
I don't care for the war effort, it just was the right thing to cure the genophage, especially with Wrex and Eve in charge.

You can save eve as well if you saved data on mordin's loyalty mission in mass effect 2
i feel there was just no way I could lie to Wrex, literally even though it was minutes before, I felt like Wrex was my brother. He was a beacon for KrogN, and betraying him was needless.... dickhead act😅
And funny enough, you could still get the fleet and help later on even if you say no.. soooo yeah
If there was ever a trilogy that needed remastering (or a complete re-make), it's this one.

Mardeen Cortoreal Because some people need to have an excuse to take out all their frustration over their disappointing lives on a convenient, imaginary target. You know that because their reactions are so ridiculously overblown - they are clearly over-compensating for something!
The irony is that even if we just take for granted that the end of ME3 is somehow the "worst in the history of gaming" everything else in the game is so fantastic as to still make ME3 a classic. But, haters have got to hate.
TheRadPlayer I completely agree - if just one aspect can turn a game into a "crime against humanity" as some people treat ME3 then something is VERY messed up when it comes to their attitudes and priorities!
Honestly, I could have just stopped playing ME3 an hour before the end and still walked away thinking I more than got my money's worth!
+Mardeen Cortoreal It is actually my second favorite of the series, despite I found its endings very disappointing.
It is unfair to crucify an entire game (and overall a very good one) just because of its last 15 or 20 minutes.

I agree, it indeed takes some important points out of its final score, but even if the ending sucks hard it doesn't mean that the whole game sucks hard too.
At least IMO, Mass Effect 3 (and the whole trilogy) could've been a 9 or 10/10 masterpiece with a worthy ending, but the final result downgraded it to a 7.5 or 8/10 (very good, but far from a classic).
Why didn't the salarians target humanity... ?we're equally as violent as krogans.

It's not so much as 1/1000 Krogan being fertile. If that was the case I'd have far less angst against the genophage. Wrex probably would too.
It's the fact that 999/1000 Krogan born are stillborn as a result of the genophage and don't live past 2 years of age. This drove most female krogan to commit suicide and filled the already defeated male Krogan into very angry mercenaries to where life didn't matter to them anymore and wanted revenge for what they had to deal with. The non fertile females were more then willing to defend their bretheren who could bear healthy children by being their decoys. The council was lucky the Krogan didn't go completely rouge like the batarians and sold themselves out as mercenaries instead treating death like a joke.

You know, the Salarians should have created a lesser version of the Genophage. Instead of making it 1/1000, they should have made it 250/1000 or 500/1000. Making it 1/1000 is just cruel.
You underestimate how fertile Krogan. If the Krogan weren't so self-destructive, they'd have had a stable and GROWING population even with the Genophage.
The real problem with the genophage was that it didn't affect fertility rates as advertised, but killed the unborn while still in the womb. It drove most Krogan women to suicide and most Krogan males to become mercs since there wasn't anything else worth fighting for.

Question: if you play renegade, but then decide Wrex is worth giving a chance therefore curing the geneophage, does that mean I can't gain peace for the quarians and geth because I don't have enough renegade points?
The peace option is unlocked by various tasks that u had to complete in ME2 and 3, not by the amount of paragon/renegade points u have
In ME2 for example.....Both Tali and Legion MUST survive and both MUST be loyal....their small feud had to end peacefully (aka not choosing a side [this of course DOES require paragon/renegade points])

If Wrex is alive and you fake it, he will try to kill you and you lose Clan Urdnot's support. You can save Mordin if you kill Wrex and destroy Maelons data.

The meaning is that I wouldn't do anything to stop the cure as long as Wrex is in charge. When I first played Mass Effect 1, I didn't know about killing Wrex, so I calmed him down. The only irony was that when I first played Mass Effect 1, I was sick.

There's a DLC for Mass Effect 2 that lets you decide all the important ME1 choices for yourself without needing to play the whole thing. But honestly it'd be better to just play ME1 for the experience. It's a bit more of a grind than the others, but the story is worth it.
Or import a me1 save into me2. You’ll go crazy playing me1, trust me
