It's pathetic and utterly transparent, "See how hip we are". It's truly painful. Especially when they are very well aware of what actually does attract young people. But It's about them. They hate real religion because it call them to account.
As usual, Pope Francis continues to remain ambiguous in his messages. He constantly eludes from clarity, standing firm in a position one day, and rejecting it the next.🤔 I will continue to pray daily for him.🙏🏼 I will also remain Catholic, in spite of my feelings.⛪️

I had to apologize to a Catholic acquaintance at church, who was insisting that my 1995 version of the Catechim states that Christians, Muslims and Jews have the promise of salvation due to such things as acknowledging the same creator God, and the faith of Abraham. It was present in article 841...a very strange inclusion, that could definitely cause confusion...and is a glaring error of Catholic doctrine...I have since purchased the Council of Trent Catechism, which is also available online for free at internet archives...

It is a possibility I guess. In reality though one must remember that there is a cosmic fight which has existed since the fall of Adam and Eve between God and Satan. The complaint is against a kind of genericsm, or else a failure to stand up for doctrinal truth in the current Vatican approach, as in the World Youth Day. What. about using relevant, adept examples, eloquent ones, of the saints, and of the magisterium, in the history of the church? Not to give room to a lamentable rigidity, as in the Inquisition. But to show the power of our Church's tradition and fidelity to Christ in history.

What was that Portuguese bishop thinking by saying world youth day is not to evangelize, I think all catholics including the bishop should be evangelizing. We would not exist if it was not for God. The church is all about God so that bishop maybe needs to rethink what he says.$$$ I'm not real happy with the Pope excusing Biden for his belief in believing it's ok to have an abortion. $$$ Mother Angelic said it's ok to be Gay and we welcome you as long as you don't have sex, it would not be ok with GOD.I will Pray for all the people I mentioned.May our dear Lord bless us all.
The Portuguese Bishop has for more than one instance answered for what he was saying, but many won't listen: What he was referencing to was the fact that WYD was not meant for PROSELYTIZING activities. Of course he wants us to evangelize, but not at Jehovah's Witnesses way. And for the sake of us all. Whomever else, like me, have had a bad experience with those radicals at Jehovah's Witnesses sect would agree their methods are far from Christian. Have a nice day!...
@@nunagoras I still stick to what I wrote, all though I'm sorry for what you went through with evangelization from the Jehovah W., I have only had positive experiences with them, simply I tell them I'm Catholic and I love being Catholic then I evangelize to them. Then I tell them when I was 9 years old I was going to a Catholic church to learn the catechism we were at recces and the play equipment I was on lost a spring and sent a metal about a half inch through my skin on my bottom right leg. The Sisters put me on a gerny and my right side of my body was covered by a very large white wing.I had no pain and I felt a Devine intervention next day my mom was shocked that I was outside playing hopscotch.That's the short version. One year later I was saved from death by Jesus Christ.He came to me at the moment and showed me a film of everybody dead and I could change it if I did what He said of course I did what our Lord said.That day I had an out of body experience when I saw our Lord leaving up the stair way to heaven my spirit came out from the top of my head and I ran up the stairs to catch up to Him. That's the short version.I had a construction accident in my twenties.I got saved. Later on my Dad was in a retirement home and they were having Catholc mass and I felt the presence of Jesus and the same peace that surpasses all understanding. I once had a dream where God told me what my purpose was I was very happy about my purpose even though God said it was better not to reveal it so he erased it.The long version are so much more revealing but I gotta go.God bless you and your family.I do that kind of evangelization mostly with my family you know us Catholics are low key with our evangelization.Blessings.

I think the priests of Rome - and of the world, complety understood what the Holy Father was saying because I am sure that ALL of them know many examples of what the pope is talking about. I think his comments were both pastoral and paternal. A hard lesson to hear but one that needs to be heard. Most churches ARE silent during the consecration. I don't think the pope "hates" the traditional Mass. It is a valid celebration and he knows it. I think YOU missed the point.
