Imagine what their kids would have been like! Two of the greatest and most influential songwriters and performers of the last 30 years. For a different side of Nick try Grinderman on Jools Holland - it’s on RUclips.
Great reaction Nick. I can also recommend 'Where the Wild Roses Grow' from the same album, a duet Nick did with Kylie Minogue and also has a great video. And then there's 'Stagger Lee'... well, that one will put hairs on your chest as they say.
Their like the Tammy Wynette and George Jones of Murder Ballads in this video. This is definitely one of my fave duo/music videos of all time. So simply filmed, no bells and whistles. Just a great song sung by two charismatic performers!!
Love the bad seeds and PJ but honestly find murder ballads one of the weakest things they ever did still a 8 out of ten sort of thing but I rarely go back to it
Wonderful song and as always good reaction! On whatever song you react, its always knowlegde and passion. Thank you! Here just a few you may react on in future... Kate Bush: Jig of Life Carter the unstoppable sex machine: A prince in an paupers grave New model army: vagabounds; 51 state Editors: smokers outside the hospital doors; Papillon Depeche mode: ice machine; never let me down again Red lorry yellow lorry: beating my head The Cure: the drowing man (live sydney 1981) The Cure: The Holy Hour (Live dedicated to Ian Curtis 1980)
Loved this reaction. Polly Jean is proof that you can have sex and raw lust as an integral part of your image and song writing but remain solid, trusted and seen as an artist of real integrity without falling into 'object' status usually demanded by the industry.
I'd recommend the PJ Harvey 'Man Size' song/video next if you should do another of her songs. From her second album, and the video is super simple but yet still so entertaining in that simplicity. 'Dress' and 'Sheela-Na-Gig' would also be good suggestions, both from her first album.
PJ and Nick were together during this time. His album Boatman's Call has a few songs about their doomed relationship. Murder Ballads is a great record. Many of the songs are based on old folk songs. PJ is amazing. All of her records are different and mostly brilliant. I wonder if you, or other people who do reaction videos, ever get interested enough to go down the rabbit hole of anything that you think is really good, or do you really just restrain yourselves for the videos that get suggested. Just curious.
Amazing reaction my friend Nick!!....In 2017, the music world was shocked by the bursting onto the scene of a 22-year-old singer named Dimash Kudaibergen, who performed on the famous Chinese competition show for professional singers called “The Singer”... It was just It was necessary for this young man to make his first appearance, making a cover of one of the most difficult songs in the world, a famous French composition called "S.O.S. D'un Terrien En Détresse", to be considered from that moment on as the best singer in the entire planet....No one in the musical field had ever seen a human being, being able to reach vocal ranges above 7 octaves and several semitones, that is, all 88 keys of a digital piano, which reaches a little more than 7 octaves and as if that weren't enough, sing the more than 12 languages...Since then all kinds of experts (Vocal coach, analysts, singing teachers, youtubers, reactors, etc.) have dedicated themselves to reviewing their presentations to try to understand how someone can sing this way...The incredible thing is that that presentation in China was in 2017 and 5 years have passed since then, but what Dimash has done in these 5 years is to further improve his wide vocal range, which is currently practically above of the 8 octaves... The Covid pandemic stopped his concerts worldwide, all with tickets sold in just seconds, via the internet, but at the same time it ended up catapulting him to the top of popularity worldwide...Anyway, since I think you are one of those reactors who have not yet met this impressive singer, here is the link of that presentation in China in 2017, with the song S.O.S. and I would like you to mention my name as the person who recommended him to you...You have to be prepared because you ar going to receive an avalanche of views, comments and new subscribers....I leave you one more recent video than the others, so it does not have the same number of views as the previous ones, which have millions of views, but it is a more complete video, with an intro, subtitles in several languages and with the improved quality of audio and sound....ruclips.net/video/bDX3FhmyNac/видео.html
Absolute class. Hypnotic and mesmerising.
Cool reaction.
One of the best MV ever made. One camera, one cheap set, a thousand fucking kilotons of charisma, chemistry, and sexual tension.
I freaking have loved pj for over 20yrs now. Makes me feel old but thank you for the reaction. It was a treat.
Beautiful as you would expect from both these legends.
One of the most iconic music video of the 90s, for such a perfect song. Lots of pleasure and beauty in some minutes.
dark. compelling. tragic. and yet beautiful. that's Nick Cave for you.

You’ve got to react to Stagger Lee by Nick Cave as well, love that song.
Live at Glastonbury is fantastic.
Nick Cave's Stagger Lee would be an amazing reaction.
I saw that one, I'll have to do it!

I'd recommend The Carny by Nick Cave/ Bad Seeds and 50 Foot Queenie by PJ Harvey.
Morrissey - Interlude with Siouxsie was created in the same manner
Please react to The Ship Song by Nick Cave. It's absolutely beautiful.
New to me. Good one!
