Sorry but, women are forbidden from chanting Veda mantras, u may read them and making a song out of the meaning but not chant...Not to be chauvinist or so, but its the sastra, it cannot be changed, there is siva purana and so many slokas and mantras which are common to all, vedas need a specific and intense discipline and a single wrong intonation or tone is not desirable, they learn for over 14 yrs to perfect...
This is not vedic age. So the rules don't apply. Try to grasp the essence of Vedas and Upanishads. It's all talking about the universal Oneness. Doesn't matter who reads it. It's the knowledge which is the light that enlighten everyone.
