I spent my summers roaming these streets in the 80s as a kid, harassing the shop owners and using any spare change I had to buy baseball cards at the Super 10 on that first corner across from the courthouse. James Carver, the pharmacist on the sign in the window at Coles, recently passed, was my uncle. I used to work that soda fountain. It was a right of passage, since my mom Ann, in the early 70s, for any teen in the family to work that soda fountain and know how to make a “hotdog sandwich.” My Granny, Nellie Carver was a seamstress and ran an alterations shop above the pharmacy for decades til she died at 101. The large white and black stone building on the corner across from Coles was a bank long, long ago. Thanks for this walk down memory lane. And yes, it’s “Person Co” not pronounced like a “Pier.” Just FYI
@@williamm.andrews7354 Bahama and Rougemount are unincorporated communities so they are not on my list. However, I will film them for you the next time I’m in that area. 👍
I’m guessing you’ve met every person to know the town is racist right? Or are you assuming we’re a racist county because we’re a general republican county? I’m sure no opportunities👍 My grandpa lived in Roxboro for 30+ years and became a millionaire when he moved here. But go off about “no opportunities”

Roxboro is a terrible racist place to live with NO opportunities. I don’t know if I despise the place or the people the most!!!
