    The bloom album is tied with Jesus Freak for my favorite Christian Rock album. So many bangers. Thanks for decades of musical enjoyment!

    Barry, you broke some serious ground with the band and the best years were the ones you were there. Still love the bootleg live! Extremely awesome worship for our mighty God!!!

    Whose idea was it to cover “Free Ride”? I know a lot of bands in the 90s were doing 70s covers. DC Talk did “Jesus is Still Alright” and “Lean on Me”. Out of Eden did “Lovely Day”. But they were trying to modernize those classic tunes. You guys did a fantastic version of “Free Ride” that was executed perfectly, and maintained everything that made the original so great.

      I don't remember whose idea it was, We listened to it in a rehearsal, and I honestly don't remember ever hearing it before that. But the guitar riff was just so perfect and fit our style so well, I couldn't imagine changing it. We changed the bridge by making it 7/8 time.

    I’m a Christian, but I’m also a music lover; all eras and genres. “Bloom” is one of my favorite albums, and because I’m a rocker at heart, “I’m Not the King” was a standout track to me. Love this!

    I love your music. Bloom is, in my opinion, one of the VERY BEST Christian rock albums of all time.
    What other projects have you worked on that I could check out? Or do you have any suggestions of Christian artists with great guitar.

    Hi Barry love how you reference how you “borrow” from other creative sources and how that influences your own playing...I will have to listen to that Bride Album...I’m also a big fan of classic rock and their signature guitar riffs...Boston, Doobie Brothers, Kansas, Joe Walsh, fan...loved early Degarmo and Key...my biggest influence is Phil Keaggy....well... I jut try to play his mistakes :-) btw your guitar tone and parts fit perfectly with lyrics referencing Elvis, Jim Morrison and the King of France...haha

      Yeah, every player is inspired and/or influenced by other players. I think there's a big difference between being inspired by something versus copying it directly.

    Question 🙋‍♂️ who came up with the song scruture for glory land and why was gloryland was the only song that made it to tbs way back in 1996 I watched it on RUclips and you guys definitely know your song scruture very well and that’s true?

    • @BarryBlairGuitarist
      @BarryBlairGuitarist  3 года назад +1

      If I remember correctly, the chorus riff of Gloryland was brought to us by Will. And I think Will, Greg, Mark, and I all just worked it out together. Trinity Broadcasting aired a full concert, but I'm not sure why Gloryland is the only song from it on youtube.

      @@BarryBlairGuitarist I did watch the whole concert and it was fantastic and now I know who came up with the song scruture of gloryland and who came up with the idea 💡 become of gloryland and why gloryland made it to the album 💿 bloom.
