Welcome to the @Cars 'N' Stuff channel where we're starting off our RUclips journey to try and showcase how we buy and sell cars.
In this car flip video, I'm showing how I made just over £1,200 by making this little Audi A5 more presentable by giving it a bit of TLC.
On this occasion, I've bought a cracking Audi A5 from Ebay. I put a last minute bid in and won it for a very sensible price of £ just over £1,850.
Now, until we arrive, we don't know what shape it's in so I always go expecting the worse but to be fair, it was in amazing condition for the year.
I collected it from a Porsche dealership who took it in part exchange against a 911 - so already I kind of knew it was well looked after.
After collecting it, washing, polishing, servicing and advertising it, it was soon snapped up by a gentleman who lived very nearby where I purchased the vehicle from.

Loving the content. Finding it really helpful. What do you do with the V5 when you buy a car. Do you register yourself as a keeper and wait for the V5 to come in your name before selling the car?

I fill out the trade slip (which can also be done online) so I keep the oroginal V5 and pass on to the new owner once I've sold it.

Thanks James. Appreciate it! I have trade insurance but if you're just starting off, then day insurance is probably your best option.

Question do you need to have a manual drivers license to get a trading license in the uk ?

I'm not sure to be honest - I would imagine you would but just explain your circumstances when you apply for a trade insurance policy as they're usually tailor made around you

Great vid, question tho, me being new at this, do you or did you pay for temp car insurance and get road tax when you bought the car and then just added that price on to the sell value?

Thanks mate. I've got trade insurance and trade plates. If you're starting off and trying things out then temp insurance and taxing it via direct debit (and cancelling it when you sell it) would be the best short term solution. I'm in the process of generating a video on how to become a trader so that should hopefully answer a few questions

I find auto trader customers much better quality than Facebook customers
I normally just get temp insurance for a few hours

@parvinkukar1259 I don't advertise on Autotrader so I can't really comment. I advertise on ebay though. Trade insurance really depends on where yiure based, how many cars you need and the value of the vehicles you have. Best thing to do would be tk go on to quote zone and they'll put you through to a broker 👍
