I remember when every rod with a Lamiglass logo was made up here in their Pacific North West facility and all had an amazing lifetime warranty. Sad to see how things change.

@@Anonymous............... Sorry but not true. Mine is labeled Made In China. If you google "Where are Lamiglass Redline Series Rods Made" you will get the results telling you Lamiglass is a fishing rod manufacturer out of Woodland OR. That does not mean they manufacture all their rods there. Last time I stopped in their showroom where they sell factory blemished rods at discounted prices, they had a fraction if what they used to in years prior. Only their higher end rods was what they were still manufacturing in house.

Redlines are awesome. I have the 7'10" casting rod and I love it. Great for trolling for stripers and salmon in the California delta, jigging for salmon, even casting heavy spinners and spoons too.

Of course in the real world people don't fight fish with the rod held in a horizontal position and slowly add tension straight down. Makes for a good advertisement though. How's the quality of the reel seat bond with the rod blank?

Guide spacing is very important and Lamiglass has failed to space the guides right on at least a few disappointing models. Just tying a “rope” to the tip section isn’t a correct demonstration. It needs to go THROUGH the guides that you’ve measured out to disperse the power evenly. Test your rods correctly hopefully your product will
    Improve overall

The redline rods are garbage. Unfortunately I bought three. The first one is 9'8" ML spinning rod, broke when casting a 1/4oz spoon. Broke the butt section while casting in a few hours use. I am stupid enough to buy another 12' redline centerpin rod. Broke in the first hour by doing nothing. The rod broke like a straw when I hold it. I guess the light breeze destroyed it. The third one is 9'4" H casting rod. The lock ring on the reel seat broke in 3 days use. The warranty is the worst among all the brand. insist me to return the whole rod cost huge shipping fee, and customer service deny the defect due to their fault. If you have to courage to testify their product and service, go ahead with redline serie. But I am done. Stay away from this brand

My X11 broke way too easily. Unfortunately I purchased two of them at the same time and am waiting for the other one to break on me. It has a great feel but is not durable at all. I should have just bought Ugly Sticks, at least their warranty is worth a sit. That and I have actually never broke one of those before.

Ugly sticks are okay recreational rods because they are durable but that's about it. They don't really excel in any other category but realistically when you spend $40 on one you can't really expect anything serious from them

My lamiglas x-11 snapped on my very first cast of owning it. Only had a bobber and a jig on it and went for a soft cast to get the presentation about 10 ft in front of me and it completely snapped right in half
