    As much as banning people that misuse affiliate IDs would be nice, this unfortunately couldn't be easily done as if its a redirect from a web page it doesnt actual prove the real owner of that affiliate ID made that website. Could potentially lead to random affiliate suspensions if the owner of that ID wasn't aware of a scare tactic website to trick people into buying a McAfee subscription!

    • @vektor451
      @vektor451 2 месяца назад +2

      what's the point of using somebody else's affiliate link? you won't be gaining money from that. it doesn't really make sense to redirect to websites with an affiliate link when they're not even making money from that.

    Antiviruses that deactivate when you stop paying should be banned by microsoft. defender should take over when this happens forcefully.
    I installed the free version of malwarebyes, it disabled my real time protection without asking me, therefore malwarebytes leaves my computer in a worse state than before using malwarebytes until I switch back to defender or uninstall malwarebytes.

    • @CoolIcingcake3467
      @CoolIcingcake3467 2 месяца назад +1

      wait, really?
      i thought it wont disable real time protection... still, why does malwarebytes disable real time protection though?

    • @Kimarnic
      @Kimarnic 2 месяца назад +1

      Malwarebytes real time protection is only for premium users, your free premium license finished

    • @Sypaka
      @Sypaka 2 месяца назад

      Sounds like the business model of a rogue antivirus. First protect the user, then unprotect him, so the user has to buy premium. meanwhile, viruses can slip by easily, which give you the NEED to buy premium finally.
      Don't get me wrong, when a 3rd party AV reports "ok, i can do this, this and that", Defender just says: "Well ok, you do this, this and that from now on." This is per se perfectly normal, so Defender and that AV cannot interfere with each other.
      What is NOT normal, is to tell Defender "i do this" and then NOT doing it. Red Flag, uninstalled.
      Who knows, if MWB is even scanning on it's own and not just using Defender to pretend to work correctly.

    clearly this is a steam dlc
    and i agree, the antivirus industry needs to step up alot of their game, yes its treadmill work but if you stop whats your point- youre an antivirus software clearly you should know not to rely on "known lists" and more lean into "finding the discrete patterns that make up every type of malware" which is time better spent.
