These boyz killed this!!Part of the reason why I pledged Sigma ! We have soooooo much freedom to step. We are not boxed in whatsoever !!! Very nasty coordinated hard steppers THE SIGMAS 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
During my process in Spring 1991 I witnessed the NYC Stepteam learn and perfect this step @ Hunter College. 1 1/2 years later I was privileged to particitpate in presenting this step to the nation. What a feeling!!!! NYC STEPTEAM for LIFE!!!!
Quick History Lesson. Many Sigma Brothers think the African Step has been around for 50 plus years. Not a fact. In Fact, the NYC step learned this routine from the famed CT Sigma step team just months prior. The Original African Step was first put together back in 1991 by Bro. Martin John with help of a non Sigma Brother. With several brothers being from NY, they taught the NYC step team. This show went on the air and the rest is history! Props to Zeta Lambda Chapter @ Uconn
Damn I remember this I still have my vest...lol. Desperado is correct the frat at CT made the african step.. the NYC step team put it in front of the world Big ups to Zeta Lambda!!! GOMAB!!
No doubt. I'm one of few blessed to have performed the entire 12 minute "Passage".. But really, the NYC step team of the 90's was on point and really got this African step connection with Sigma on front street. Shout out to all the Tri-State Area teams over the years used who raised the bar
