- THE STRASBURG RAILROAD is a steam powered Line which operates between Strasburg and Paradise, a five mile run through Pennsylvania's Lancaster County.
It's main attractions were Locomotives Number 90, ex-Great Western 2-10-0 Decapod, Number 1223, an ex- Pennsy D-16sb 4-4-0 beauty and ex- Canadian National 0-6-0 Number 31. all of which are featured in action in this Show.
Complementing the above is coverage of the vast Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania.
This program was originally produced by the long forgotten JMJ Productions, who made Railroad Videos in the 1980s & 1990s & has been out of print/unavailable for 40 years. Nickel Plated Productions does not lay claim to the ownership/copyright of this program. Ownership/copyright belongs to JMJ Productions. This has been uploaded in an effort to preserve its historical contents. Развлечения
Wow, this is the greatest thing I've ever been blessed to see when opening youtube. Raw Beauty at its finest
I visited this place back in August 2022, and saw NKP 757 in Mad River in October 2021.
This was actually available for purchase on DVD direct from Morry Farcus (of JMJ Productions) as late as 2016.
Hybrid of the egg and 80s livery on 90. I love it!
I wish I knew how to restore footage!!! I'd love to restore all of this footage, so it can still be enjoyed
Oh my goodness. Haven’t seen this footage in 16 years. Thank you so much for sharing this video
16:52 Theres the Ex-Reading FP7s, in this time they was waiting for a restoration and the original paint, after it starting in 1994 they operated several excursion for many years until 2010, after it they was on display at steamtown until 2024 and they moved to the SMS Lines for operate on your Woodstown Central Railroad (work in progress to operate in the next months), your numbers are 902 & 903.
Goodness greif to see 4800 in such beautiful condition and then seeing her now, her paint is all faded and nearly turned fully grey. There’s rust holes and moss growing and even her number plates are fogged up is just sad to see
Edit: But seeing 7312 and 1223 working is great. I really would wanna see 1223 run again but the museum she loves at are very certain on having her just sit on static display.
NKP 757 is not at the museum now, looks strange with Cherry Hill station bare with no farm stands around it
😍😍😍😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩
That CN 5 Chime on 31 sounds like GTW 4070, NKP 587 and CN 3254!
Actually, 31’s whistle sounds almost identical to Sierra Railway 28’s cannonball whistle. If you were this footage & any video with Sierra 28 with her cannonball whistle. You can easily tell.
Nice Show but Where’s the CN 89 and PRR 7002?
53:09 57:00 57:54 58:07 58:58 CN 5 chime
It had a different bell too
What happened to the CN 5 Chime now?
It got taken off
@@Redwagon2012 where is it now?
@@Redwagon2012and the bell?
I recognise that narrator's voice
He sounds quite familiar. Didn’t he narrate southern 4501, 722 and 630?? Not Eric Greene.
@@nicholasmedovich6729 he has to be.
The music playing in this does anyone know what's it called?
