Chill Penguin just got bored and Sigma ask him to join, and you know people can do ridiculous thing to get out of boredom Boomer Kuwanger interest in X's ability and want to test it in a fight with him, too bad he got killed Spark Mandrill and Armor Armadillo are just plain obedient. Storm Eagle didn't even want to fight, we don't know what forced him tho Sting Chameleon and Launch Octopus are questionable, they may or may not be a Maverick as I can still sense some sanity on them, they maybe just obedient too. Vile is even more questionable, he didn't actually join Sigma but just want to fight X. Sigma I think didn't even aware of himself at this point that he can use his virus to infect them, that's why many are still sane. Only one that's definitely a Maverick is Flame Mammoth, he just become A-hole and want to bully everything.

This continuity tried something different in regards to the "Maverick" and "Maverick Hunter" dynamic. Instead of having a virus infect them, going Maverick would be a label for any robot that tried to damage innocents and human life or would do so out of disregard. The dialogues at the end of the game with Sigma imply that instead of making them go crazy or disregard human life for the sake of it, everything the Maverick virus did was remove the hard-set limitations of the 3 laws of robotics the Reploids found themselves under, and without X extensive testing period that meant they were easily manipulable and unstable. And not only that; you would have robots with flawed programming (Vile, mentioned on the game files and additional data and Flame Mammoth that had none of his platoon join him on support of Sigma's rebellion) that would be crazy violent from the get go. It could even be argued that this game continuity has no such thing as a Maverick virus and that going Maverick is a conscious choice on the individual robot, with X's compassion being what differentiates him from the rest of the Reploids instead of the extensive testing period. You can even see that this version of Sigma has shades of Lumine, as instead of trying to simply conquer the world, he wants to usher a new age for Reploids through X and allowing them to evolve.

X's dialogue could have been improved. The whole blaming everyone as a maverick was horrible given x's personality. I think maybe some dialogue where it more explains each boss's actions like storm eagle would have been better. Also the game play did seem slow, if it is because the dash part then the easiest thing to do would have been to give X dash capabilities from the get go.

Armored armadillo is my favorite maverick of this game and his presentation was sublime, his voice, his attack cries and the dialogue between x were sunlimes 10/10 I love armored armadilo
This game looks awesome enough, IMHO. Say all the negative shite you want about it... I would have loved to see X2 and X3 remade like this, honestly - improved gameplay, music, level design - the possibilities for improving upon X2 and X3 were endless, had this not just been a remake of one game (awesome as that one otherwise is. FACT.).
The voice acting is awful, the dialogue is awful, the game is slow. It should have been executed a lot better. A port of the original would have been superior. But Megaman is more or less dead. So who cares. Capcom certainly doesn't.
Mark Gatha as X was too badass to be awful. Have you heard X's voice in X4 or the newest game Marvel vs Capcom Infinite? Them voices are awful. Just go give a listen you'll see. Keep a bucket near by.
Now THIS catches my eye. True heroes don't catch a single scratch and don't even think once about using their special weapons. But real *LEGENDS* don't even bother with the armor. They love a good challenge.
In my opinion, if Megaman X were transformed in a animated tv series, just as the ost in the game opening, it would be great, maybe even more than a possible X9 or showing up on Marvel vs Capcom Infinite. Giving Megaman X a chance to become capcom's number 1 again. And about MMHX, it had the perfect voice actors, but they finished the X series after it. (Sorry, my english is not that good)
Considering that X doesn’t wear any of his armor in the cutscenes, this could be considered the canon way to do it. Counter-intuitive that you get the arm parts from Zero though. lol

Powered Up had 11 playable characters (Mega Man, Proto Man, Roll and the eight Robot Masters, plus Mega Man could be given his slide and charge shot, or just go in as Rock/"Mega", and Roll had costume changes for days), so I don’t see why they couldn’t have done the same thing in Maverick Hunter X.

I played this game a hell lot before. I did a no upgrades on Hard mode before but doing buster only is rather tedious. Storm Eagle is hard as well due to him blowing you and especially that arrow attacks he throws at you and when low health, he is such a spammer and I can't dodge half of his attacks and always get hit and hurts like hell. Armored Armadillo is kinda RNG luck base depends on what he does, sometimes he does the bouncing and shooting orbs attack at the same time and when low health, he speeds up and goes faster. Chill Penguin, only best tip is to stay in the corner/hug the wall most of the time to avoid getting hit from his 3 icicle attacks, I notice sometimes he likes to do it more than one time after he gets hit from the buster attack. Boomerang Kwanger is tricky boss fight, the rest can't remember. Boss Spider is so damn hard but at least is not like the original megaman X where it's like you got no reaction timing. Ragna Bangaa is also kinda luck base as well. And the sigma fight, well this would be a more tedious fight since only lvl4 charged shot hurts him, and if using the Dr light buster upgrade instead of Zero buster, it only does 1 damage and would be a long boring drawn out fight.

I prefer the challenge this time around rewarding a proper cannon upgrade for reaching Vile in sigma palace without charge capable weapons. Something that can actually do more than barely scratch Sigma's final form

idk how i beat this game when i was 7 years old, but i do remember spamming energy tanks on bosses

I played this game a hell lot before. I did a no upgrades on Hard mode before but doing buster only is rather tedious. Storm Eagle is hard as well due to him blowing you and especially that arrow attacks he throws at you and when low health, he is such a spammer and I can't dodge half of his attacks and always get hit and hurts like hell. Armored Armadillo is kinda RNG luck base depends on what he does, sometimes he does the bouncing and shooting orbs attack at the same time and when low health, he speeds up and goes faster. Chill Penguin, only best tip is to stay in the corner/hug the wall most of the time to avoid getting hit from his 3 icicle attacks, I notice sometimes he likes to do it more than one time after he gets hit from the buster attack. Boomerang Kwanger is tricky boss fight, the rest can't remember. Boss Spider is so damn hard but at least is not like the original megaman X where it's like you got no reaction timing. Ragna Bangaa is also kinda luck base as well. And the sigma fight, well this would be a more tedious fight since only lvl4 charged shot hurts him, and if using the Dr light buster upgrade instead of Zero buster, it only does 1 damage and would be a long boring drawn out fight.

@@OSEA81 you mean the cannon you get regardless of location in the classic MMX? The wave of weaker shots? I prefer the challenge this time around rewarding a proper cannon upgrade for reaching Vile in sigma palace without charge capable weapons. Something that can actually do more than barely scratch Sigma's final form
