Spider Mites are off the hook! They will crush kill destroy! (from old tv show). The problem with some treatments is you can kill the spider mites but some plants don't survive the treatment!
Small question, what does isopropyl do to the soil if sprayed directly or it drops off the leaves. I've noticed some growth stunts on plants that have had isop. Cleaning. I can't find much about it on the inter-webs and thought maybe some people with experience know. Perhaps the spider mites stunted the growth but seems kinda weird to me. Like to hear from someone with similar experiences. I mix my iso with H2O2 50/50 helps reduce spores and other threats. Perhaps it's the mix which I also doubt..
It can be. Shopping centre (mall) plants are regularly given rubbing alcohol sprays and wipes from a conversation I once had with a commercial plant rental guy
You can definitely see them with your eyes. Magnification it helpful. And you can't diagnose species but you can definitely verify that you have them with sight
It depends how much you want to make. If you want to make a lot use 1cup alcohol to 3-4cups water if you just want a little you could do the same ratio with teaspoons
Spider mites really piss me off 😑
samesies 🙃
SAME

Checked some of my plants today, and about 3/4 has spider mites 😢
I bought my zebra plant infected. I transplanted it and treated it instantly and it started dying. 😢
Dr bonners Castile peppermint also works wonders ❤ they hate the smell !!

A final spray of what? Rubbing alcohol or plain water?
Rubbing alcohol. But not sure of % i went with fairly weak around 30% but might need 3 or 4 reapplications 🤷♂️
Do you leave the spray on?
Weekly is too long imo , spider mites reproduce every 4 days
I could swear they live and breed in the soil. That's where they come back from. Alcohol spray top layer of soil is a good idea
I know I’m wanting to know where they come from too
They actually rarely go into the soil they stay on the leaves
Thank youuuuuu they are super annoying! I use neem oil! It works amazing too but alcohol is cheaper 😅
Im so sick of seeing black mites!!! They killed 2 rosemary. I only have one left! 😡
Did this work? How did you go about the one with the moss pole? Thanks
Is this fine as a preventative for new plants as well?
I'd probably use something like SB Plant Invigorator as a preventative rather than alcohol solution

Mine are only in the soil
spider mites microscopic....

Does hydrogen peroxide work too?
I've not tried that for spider mites. But my first thought is that I wouldn't want to wipe the leaves down with it
Good question. It turns to h2o pretty quickly.. 🤔
May i know what did u spray it with
Rubbing alcohol, water and drop of dish soap works
What is the solution in what you call the final spray ??? Do you rinse it after the treatment ?
Wondering the same.
I really cant stand y outubers who say spray this spray that but dont conclude with if u have to rinse or what @@lupitasmith9944
You do not need to rinse
I reckon rinse its needed. Otherwise it can burn them. I have done 1 treatment. Still have several to go. My alocasia it's sad 😢
What does a part mean?

Will hydrogen peroxide solution work as well?
tbh I've not tried hydrogen peroxide for spider mites
