Seriously, give Ann Dowd that Emmy already! Just give it to her. She was unbelievably amazing in that role. This was one of the finest supporting casts I've ever seen.
I was just thinking about that myself, wondering out of ALL the stellar performances among the women in this show, how could the voters choose which one to give the supporting actress Emmy to? Because if it isn't one of them, there's something very, very wrong with the Academy. And I came to the same final conclusion -- it has to be Ann Dowd. It HAS to be.
Alexis Bledel is one of the few actresses where in my brain, she will always be one of her characters. When she first popped up in Handmaid's Tale I was like "the new season of gilmore girls got super dark."
I don't think it's fair to her, honestly. She had no experience on Gilmore girls and it took her about 3 seasons to really find and relate to Rory. I think when she went to college and met Logan she really started to grow up for the first time, experience pain, too. So her performance in the first few seasons is hardly her fault.
Alexis seems so shy and introverted but she's beautiful, and she's grown so much since Gilmore girls, you can tell how much she's learned she's fantastic in this series. I think maybe being a mom effects her acting now, especially in roles like these.
I love how Max is just sitting there lol, he probably spoke in a different part of the interview. I love all these actors, they're so amazing and the show is my favorite ever 💛
@@6891x Because they are just making up things as they go along. Nothing really relevant, and they're put on the spot. I find these interviews cringe-worthy. I'll stop now.
I always though Bledel was this dumb-ish superficial actress who got hired because of her looks, but she's very believable in anything she plays really; a truly amazing talent.
I've seen every episode of Gilmore girls and every episode of Handmaids tale (all in the last 2 or 3 years) yet I was today years old when I realised Emily = Rory. Which means she's a great actress
I must be the only one who never watched Gilmore girls and as I read through the comments I'm kinda glad I skipped on that show as it appears she was typecasted with that rory role
She was at first and I don't think she warmed up to Rory when the series started but when Rory went to college and Logan came into her life and she started to experience true love and the real, deep pain that comes with it I think that was the moment Alexis found Rory and truly let her evolve as a woman so yeah, her acting gets much better in season 3 and Rory becomes much more interesting as a character too, you should give it a chance.
Alexis grew so much as an actress is amazing to see. Brilliant job playing Ofglen
Ann Dowd is fantastic as Aunt Lydia. Quite the force to be reckoned with.
'80sKid I'D RECKON
@80sKid.....I agree whole heartedly!! She is AWESOME!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Yes, I'm sure the director from Hereditary, saw her in Handmaid's and cast her, she is very spooky in that movie as well.

I was just thinking that , OfGlen could be Rory Gilmore a few years later. I wonder what happened to Paris Geller?
Paris probably became an aunt.
Jhéssica Franchetti definitely! Paris would make a terrifying Aunt!
@@jhessicafranchetti6465 Paris is killing people in 'How to get away with murder?' ...so pretty close to an aunt ;)

Ann Dowd is brilliant! One of the most underrated actresses out there!!
praised be.
Alexis is so fucking sweet. Her voice omg
Lila X Those eyes....
Aww poor Alexis was so nervous
Alexis is veeeery shy
I knowww, I heard that in her voice too. Poor thing. I think Max gets really nervous too, I think that's why he's always chewing gum in interviews.
She and Samira are quite tiring to listen to... All they say is "um um um".

Max Minghella looks as if he's turned up in character as Commander Nick in that suit.

i love Alexis , such an amazing actress i wish they would give her more screen time

God, there all so good at playing their characters!, praise be!
Aunt Lydia is scarier than Miss Trunchbull. lmao!
agreed!
It's funny you should say that because the actress who played trunchball seems like the nicest woman on earth.
I must be the only one who never watched Gilmore girls and as I read through the comments I'm kinda glad I skipped on that show as it appears she was typecasted with that rory role
Norma Lilia You didn't miss anything. Vanilla bullshit personified.

Achei a Alexis tão estranha nesse vídeo, aparecia desconfortável com alguma coisa.
She is shy and introverted.
Love the cast but... The use of "umm" after every other word "ummmm" was annoying lol
It's called "introvert". Google it.
Yeah she's just shy lol
