How is it that a show about spy’s and assassins and people dying left and right the most wholesome thing on tv right now? And how did you guys make it better?!
There are multiple reasons why a abridged series is be more entertaining than the original. For example, it has the advantage of being a abridged in the first place, if this was how the original show was a lot of the parts would seem just random and out of place. Like when Anya was hiding, from Loid saying those were the places she was allowed to sleep. It’s very random, and wouldn’t be entertaining for a brand new audience. But what makes the Abridged version of it entertaining is how the creators are able to change the context of the scene into a different story.
I think ascendance of a book worm is just as wholesome with alot less bloodshed but this show is amazing and I've never met an abridged I didn't atleast like
Lloyd and Yor's relationship still somehow ends up being heartwarming. The trailer for this got me to put my foot in the door, but this makes me want to enter and stay for the long haul.
You should had been there when the manga was released to read for free on the officially app. Talk about people being tried of Highschoolers. (I'm 26 myself so it nice to have a story about late 20 years olds.)

Props for the genuinely supportive narrative surrounding "massage" work. A biiiiiit overdone on the "lol people think 27 is too old for a woman" thing since it was mentioned like once in the show, but At least you found interesting ways to play it and I genuinely snorted at the needle weapon joke. Overall well written and fun.
The nice thing about "abridged" series is that they don't have to follow the original script in the slightest. Just read the premise, tilt it slightly and go from there.
I am SOOO glad these abridged creations are still finding a big enough audience to encourage creators to keep making more of them because they are hilarious and put a big smile on my face when I should be completing my work responsibilities (they're really not that important of responsibilities, I mean; nobody's life is in danger or anything like that). Big Honkers in a Consentless Land sounds like the type of light novel I would love to read someday. Perfect because I only have the final volume of Konosuba to read and would love to read something along the same line of story with a bit more Succubus Action.
I didn't know they were making a spinoff about Daybreak, I would watch that though. But for real, this is really well done. It's a fine line between changing it up for hilariously different takes but actually conveying what's going on in the show, but it totally pulls it off.
