And I had to buy one immediately because the cord is useless without (it's a unique type c to type c that can't be used with most chargers). The charger head is quite expensive. (10,000 / 18,000). So budget for it at once. But the advantage is that it's very fast.
I bought mine 165k naira in February this year. I bought the charger head 9k. I can vouch for the phone, it doesn't lag at all. And like you said the videos are good. I like the phone@GoUnique234

Year. When they updated Android 13 to Android 14 then Core version became just regular UI on older devices ( if I'm not mistaken). It seems that they are getting rid of Core version entirely.
Tbh I think this phone should only be sold in 3rd countries that has a weak currency. Because in my country the price gap between the A05 and the A15 is quite large like from 1,6 million (149USD) to 2,9 million (269USD). While in countries like Canada offers less and closer (129CAD for the 4/128 A05 to only 199CAD for the 6/128 A15).
bro got kinda scammed cause in the official samsung store the a05 only costs 120 bucks and its 4/128 but in other countries its only 100 bucks and has 6/128
The A05 was almost immediately "replaced" by the A05s, which has a higher screen resolution and refresh rate, plus a third "camera" eye on the back. For a low end phone I think these are nice enough. I see people use it who don't care much about features, but just want a smartphone for calling, Whatsapp, Facebook, Gmail and some browsing. Then, pick A05-A05s-A15 4G as far as your budget lets you. I was very fond of my A40 back then and I regret that the smaller formfactor of the A40/A20e has dissappeared. I used an A52 4G and now an A35, which is more than enough. Would also pick an A25 or even A15 5G, but personally I would not do the A05s.
My mindset on tech is still on 2015 because I no longer use those big social media apps like Facebook, iG and Twitter. This phone is one of the best phone for basic use like sms, chat, call and music.
Only if you are Samsung fan and want brand new phone maybe...just maybe you should spend 100$ or euros for this phone + new charger. I would rather recommend used A52(full pack) for same ammount of money if you are my friend or familly member on tight budget.
I wouldnt call myself a fan of the A0 series, but when I needed a new phone ASAP after the 3g shutdown screwed me over (att network via tracfone, I think I got hit by their whitelist as it was a non US market phone that worked just fine on volte before that) the A02s I paid $40 for was certainly good enough to use for phone calls and email if not really much more.
To be honest, having had an iPhone 11 up until last year you can get used to the lower res LCD displays. Was definitely a step down from all the Samsung S-Series phones I used to have but still acceptable imo especially for this price
It may not be the best phone ever but let's face it, it's probably still more reliable than iPhone. Have an iPhone 11 that I bought brand new in September last year and it's already been in for repairs twice
Good video! Was hoping someone would start doing videos on this phone! The A05 is still kind of hard to justify. Because the A15 is so much better. Just like the A14 was with the A04 and so on. And if the A05 goes for $150 ish on Samsung’s site and the A15 is only $50 it makes even less sense because the A15 has so much more. Not to mention a lot of wireless carriers in the US (especially prepaid) have great deals on the A15.
This phone has a massive price drop in the Philippines market. Samsung official is now selling this at more or less $63. That merit alone makes it worth to buy. It's good for people who only use phones for texting, calling, messaging, calendars, etc. as well as people who need multiple phones... which is why I bought one to go alongside my other flagship "main" phones. They even gave me a free Samsung fast charger brick!
I’ve been using it a bit these last few weeks now (I filmed this unboxing in January) and it’s honestly a lot better than the previous A0x phones. I think for under $150, I would recommend it especially if you want the current Android and One UI experience. BUT…you can get a better spec’d older Samsung phone for a similar price. So it’s close..?

I accidentally came across your a05 review and I don't know this phone was launched.it is available for 10k (120 dollar) and i was quite surprised after seeing the price..for the exact similar price u can buy f14 with much better 5 nm exynos 1330 / 6000 mah battery/full hd display and with promised update until android 15 and with 9 band supported 5g capability also.this one seems extremely inferior in specs.
For this budget of $150, which smartphone would you say that you would be better off buying? The new A05 which is the lowest budget smartphone this year, or for the same price, a good condition S9 plus which was the top tier flagship phone in 2018? Interestingly, on the 2018 flagship, you are still getting better performance, more features hardware wise, much better screen quality and much better build overall. However on this A05 new budget phone, you are getting a much newer version of software and probably a better battery life, since being new, the battery isn't degraded as much and also the budget chipset doesn't use as much power as a flagship chipset. I guess the decision is your call if you are on this budget.
Another Samsung a05s covers ALL boxes for the same $150. Full HD display, 90 Hz, side fingerprint sensor, Snapdragon 680, NFC, 2 OS and 4 years security patches. The only thing is missing - its 4G.
No case, no screen protector and no charger is a Samsung thing bro. Other companies like Xiaomi still give you those! Don't talk like it's something that everybody does now 😂
Just ordered this for my mother's first smartphone Got this for 8,000 indian rupees or 95.5 usd. F14 for 125$ or M34 for 154, would make more sense but thats okay Will give her better specs phone later.
The A05 is $280 AU and the A15 is $320... not sure the A05 is good value with such a small price difference given the significantly better specs of the A15.
Samsung’s A1x phones especially from the A13 onward have been so good for an entry-level device, that I would probably still recommend the older A13 5G over this one. But if you want an extra year or two of Android updates (I think?) then the A05 might be compelling.
I just updated my Samsung A04 to their newest One UI version which is the One UI 6 based on Android 14, and guess what, it is no longer a Core Version!!!!
Coming from a a32 that uses one UI and almost the same processor I cant recommend this phone and I dream about the a32 using the one UI core just because is so slow.... so just give this phone to somebody you hate

First A0x series phone that's actually decent. Lack of a fingerprint reader makes the A05s a better deal though. A05s also has a 90hz FHD display.

Samsung actually gave regular one UI 6 to phones that previously had one UI core. My A14 had one ui 5 core and now it has the normal one ui 6
that's because one ui core is discontinued, one ui core 6 doesn't exist, so there's no phones to give it to.
