excellent work dear Volt log,I am a mobile phone technician but I didn't get ever in my life these types of detailed information about phone repair ,you are described it is very well ,what is the function of coil in that section and many more.. Thank you so much we are waiting for your next video.(sorry for my poor English)
honestly I still don't know if it was the plastic spudger that ripped those components off or if it was me pressing the battery connector on top of them.
Nice video, thank you! What would be the finest soldering iron tip one could buy for these repairs? Like you said, you can see the repair job but soldering a microscopic capacitor with a soldering iron? You would need a soldering needle?
All reputable manufacturers Weller, JBC, Hakko have fine tips designed for micro soldering. However, using a very fine tip in an older (even worse if it's a clone) 936 soldering station will not work very well. I have a 936 clone and when I use those very fine tips, I can't solder anything, very poor heat transfer.
I would like to get one from Amscope, hopefully soon. Those seem great for this kind of work. It's the one shown in the image towards the end of the video and it's linked in the description.
+VoltLog I would love to see a review of that and see it in action. Approaching 50 and seeing things clearly would be a fantastic help. But what I the best options for us hobbyists. Thanks for your reply
If you buy a microscope with increased working distance , you could consider buying one with a camera option otherwise you wont be able to show us the microscope work you're doing in a video :D
yes a trinocular microscope would be awesome but it will cost me at least $100 more on the microscope alone, camera not included. I can't cover such a cost, at least not now and I'm not doing that much work under the microscope to justify the investment.
I have an iPhone 5c and I'm facing problems like Automatically rebooting and if I keep charger plugged in That battery indicator doesn't move.. Can anyone help
Is it possible the restorage of non backup opened files in WhatsApp? Can we use restorage apps to recover theses files in case of Unplugged cell phones? After all it must be some folder containing these files, as they take up phone memory.
Glad you got the phone working in the end :) I hate it when you attempt to fix something and then make another repair for yourself in the process. JFYI.. Please check the Amtech flux your using.. It's likely not Amtech. Amtech is made in the USA and says so on the tubes. I use the Amtech 559 V2 flux which is excellent (and smells nice too :) I get it from here in the UK if your interested, It's quite expensive £15.99 for 10cc but it's the real stuff.. goo.gl/WNrKzF Cheers John
All Amtech flux syringes I have are marked with "made in usa" but that's not a guarantee they're genuine They get the job done though for a few dollars. I haven't seen flux that smells nice so far :)

thank you for watching!
Wow, 01005 caps, can you possibly get any smaller. Great repair and find VL!
Good job, for delicate connectors I always use the spluger built into the end of my index finger.

VoltLog they are seriously small components any contact could possibly rip them off.

Another great post, have you tried a 25cm working distance usb microscope?

I understand , you could hack it to make videos from one of the bino tubes using a cheap camera
