Being a Gen-Xer born 1980 I feel old now we aren't even mentioned in the news, not even our horror icons like Jason, Chucky, Michael Myers, Freddy or even costumes of witches, zombies, werewolves, vampires, mummies, ghosts are not even relevant in the holiday scene like it was in the past. IDK however I will always include them and that will always be part of my Halloween tradition.
Not me! I’m spending maybe $10 for my own candy and enjoying it! My 19-year old still hasn’t forgiven me for the dinosaur sandwich costume I made for him about 11 years ago!!
I spent about $200 to hang out with friends to go see Rocky Horror at a live theater this weekend (movie on a projector plus some costumed acting on stage along with the movie ) and that was for transportation there and back, costume, and tickets. Now i don't want to talk to them for about 3 weeks😂. Spending money to hang out with friends, some of whom don't understand actual costs, is annoying and leads to a bit of resentment. Unless it's really in your budget, don't commit to nonsense. 😂 Keep it fun and cheap. movies wise: i saw The Substance (awesome) and the joker sequel (alright) BUT, in contrast, this year my household isn't giving out candy because everyone (mom, Dad, my brother and myself) is working on the official day of Thursday. It seemed like most adults did their Halloween parties at ppl's houses or bars the weekend before like i did.
I will never trust anyone who doesn't like Halloween, you're just not a fun person.

Spend..Spend .. just like Xmas 🎄🎁... just my opinion
Pass.
Anything you need for Halloween can be made from thrift store clothes, cardboard and foil
Haha that goosebumps theme! Gold!
My costume cost less than $20. Candy....now that cost me $100...thanks to inflation.
Kids costumes run between $30-$60 now. Have 2 kids, you are spending more!
