Welcome to Stretton Lakes, a tranquil setting for a tranquil escape.
Stretton Lakes is situated in 120 acres of farmland in the county of Rutland. Six fishing lakes have been created over the past 40 years to create a tranquil setting surrounded by woodland and open farmland. The lakes support a huge range of flora and fauna, watch carp cruising around islands, mallards flying into roost at dusk and if you’re lucky deer grazing around the lodges.
We are the only luxury lodges in Rutland that have been awarded the prestigious 4 and 5* Gold accolade for each lodge by Visit Britain. Virtual tours of our lodges can be found on each lodge page. Free wifi is available in all lodges.
Our luxury round log cabins are situated on the southerly edge of Stretton Wood, this 100 acre ancient woodland is teeming with fallow deer and woodland birds, take a walk through the wood or just relax in our holiday lodges, each have their own private heated hot tub overlooking the lakes. A perfect way to unwind with a glass of wine after a day’s sightseeing or fishing.

Stretton Lakes offers its Caravan and Motorhome Club members quiet lakeside pitches, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, nestled in scenic Oakham, Rutland. The caravan site is open from Easter until the end of October. It is for adults only and each pitch has its own electric hook up and water supply to make sure you are provided with the basic amenities. The pitch fees are £20.00 per night
The caravan 5 van certified location can only be used by caravan club members. It is an adults only CL.
There is no access to the Touring Park Shower facilities when booking the CL site.

Our luxury touring park is set within 120 acres of farmland in the heart of Rutland Countryside, our 5 Star Gold site has 26 lakeside hard standing superior pitches, all are south facing with spectacular views across our fishing lakes and the Rutland countryside beyond, It provides a tranquil escape all year round. All campsite guests have free fishing on all our lakes we have 7 coarse fishing lakes to choose from, you can even fish straight in front of your caravan. We have created a stunning shower block built to 5 Star standards, here you will find 6 individual private shower rooms, with rainfall showers, oak wash stands with raised stone basins. Washing machines and tumbles dryers are available for your use.
Our 4 legged friends are also catered for with their own washing facilities.
Stretton lakes Touring park is adults only. We do allow families to book our log cabins, they are permitted to use our fishing lakes. The Touring park lake is exclusively for touring park guests.
We are very lucky to be surrounded by tranquil woodland and footpaths offering many different walking routes, excellent for dog walks, Stretton Wood is 100 acres to the north of our site and George Henry Wood which is 80 acres is between our site and Stretton village both have public access. Our woodlands are teeming with fallow deer often seen grazing the site.
There are two excellent award winning pubs within walking distance from the touring park, The Jackson stops in Stretton village, and the Olive Branch in Clipsham village, a must book whilst staying with us.
We are situated within a short drive between the two market towns of Stamford and Oakham which offer a great selection of shopping and site seeing opportunities. Plenty of places to sit back relax, escape and enjoy a beer of a bite to eat.
Rutland Water and all of its attractions is only a 10 minute drive away.

So what do you think of this site? We loved our stay at Stretton lakes Touring Park. some work is still going on like 6 more pitch hard standing to go in to make 32. This was halted due to the ground being so wet over the last 3 months. The facilities block is outstanding, and the owners and staff be so helpful and friendly., so please take time to check the site out.
