I am from Puerto Rico and the shipping rates are the same as the Nation on flat rates. Totally different if not flat rate but still doable. A lot of US sellers are loosing money by not shipping to PR and people there will pay extra for shipping just to get what they need. Check the rates and don't be afraid to ship to my Enchanted Island 🥰

Your presentation in your photos is super cool. Great idea with the bouquet and white rug under the item. Cool looking back drop. It gives a sense of the item being clean and nice. I might have to steal the idea and do the same with clothing/shoes :)
I can't wait for your video about the lightbox. I just recently purchased a smaller one for photographing hard goods (nighttime after my daughter goes to bed), and am having the worst time with it. All my pictures are coming out BLUE *facepalm* I'm sure it's user error but editing all these photos is just a time suck! ANYWHO... Christmas ornaments, YES! I didn't sell a single one at Christmas, but in the last month, I've sold almost all of them that I had listed. Haha, you just never know. Great video today. Thank you!
Life By Melinda try placing a white light on the back of the box on all three directions - back, left, right. That should help! Also make sure your settings on your camera or phone are neutral with regard to tone - sounds like you have it set to a cool tone.

Here's a funny one. So i just started selling women's jeans. Know nothing about them. Today found a pair of Rock & Roll Cowgirl jeans. Putting my listing on ,typed in as much info on the inside tag as i could. Tag said Dark Denim May Rub.. I thought May Rub sure is a unique style name. After i posted it i looked closer. The tag said 'May rub off onto light clothing".. Jeez... I gotta long way to go...

In terms of reselling is it best to go to charity shops (uk) to find cheap items to resell or what do you recommend for beginners like myself. (bare in mind yes i am trying to sell items that i dont need from home)

Legendary it could take over a year. I am an EBay seller since 2007. I don’t mind to wait for the right buyer that pays the fair price.
Legendary, forever for me is usually 9-12 months 🌼

Awesome job on the sale the last 30.. every time I get a watcher I send a offer immediately... I’m getting about a 40% acceptance on offers lately too... also noticed something too talking with other eBay friends. I t wouldn’t surprise me if half the watchers are other ebay sellers sell the same item and watching to see what happens with your item. Just a opinion of course. Great vid friend

I mostly sell collectibles and tend to watch the absurd prices. Surprisingly some do sell at ridiculous prices. So I do agree with your theory of watchers.

LOL me also. My girls who are 24, 22, and 21 HATE thrifting with me but will slam on the breaks for a garage sale. Our twin boys who are 19 HATE garage sales and only 1 of them will go thrifting with me if food is involved and some days I have to throw in a Jamba Juice as well LOL

You are very lucky. USPS charges $11.15 for any package marked Fragile. Your PO missed it, but please advise your viewers it is a special handling fee. The fee is posted in their price list 123 effective 1/26/2020.

How do you look up buyers on EBay, I have tried to figure it out so many times.
Look to the right of the search bar. There is an advance tab. Should be able to search that way.
I agree Ashley, eBay is looking for sellers to be active in their store by utilizing the different tools they provide .
@Hustle at Home Mom I have been finding I need to take less profit on clothing in place of more volume as you have done. I believe a lot of this has to do with Ebay's "Good Till Canceled" I am finding there are just so many listings that never die for a given item or style. I can have a great shirt and now instead of there being 700 listings as competitors there is over 3000. With so much competition everyone is driving down the prices. I really wish Good Till Canceled wasn't a thing any longer, the ease is not worth the added competition and lower prices.
I don’t think the good till canceled function is the culprit as much as the influx of resellers. Everyone’s a reseller and the extra supply is from that, and with static demand, price points go down. I’m trying to stay away from influencer promoted BOLO brands to see if that helps.
@@TheAntiqBoutiq Kind of goes hand in hand imo. More resellers add more listings, those listing don't ever cancel even though a high percentage of those sellers quit or lose interest.
We sell grilles and assorted car parts. With the new shipping rates we have limited our shipping to the 48 states. Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and possessions are too expensive to ship to. FedEx is much less for any packages over 1 cubic foot. Buyers outside of the 48 states can ask for a price. I just had one in Guam begging me to ship to them but wouldnt pay the USPS $60 or FedEx $110 shipping charge on a $40 item. This is an extreme example but it can happen to you.
Very good point and you're right, sometimes shipping these larger items to Puerto Rico or Guam can cost sooo much money. You definitely have to be careful! :) Thanks for the comment!

I looked at websites like Nordstrom Saks & RUclips fashion bloggers. I’m learning but it’s a process! My fav resellers to learn from: hustle mom, jack valentine, Lori at Boston Found, common tags, Nicole state & el ducho. Good luck🤓

Brands can sell something alone for sure but remember unique can trump brand

Madewell dresses are making a comeback I think because of 'celebrity wear'- meaning, someone famous was photographed wearing it, or put it in their "faves" list in a fashion magazine~ think Meagan Merkel & Rothy's, right. That being said, I don't have a TV in my house, do not believe in people doing certain jobs/lines of work are more honorable or worthy of "famous", so I don't follow that stuff. Besides, shouldn't we 'celebrate" occupations like teaching/medicine/military if we have to clap for someone?! I suppose as a re-seller I should pay more attention to that sort of thing. We all have our strengths, that's just not one of mine~ truth be told, it kind of annoys me- @myself I mean, I should be more open to certain things maybe~ yet I've seen the damage it almost always does, so there's that. Getting older=)

Hi! Fellow former slumper, for almost a year! I'm back now though. I actually made my first sale back on eBay on a lamp I fished out of Goodwills dumpster! It was a skeleton lamp that had a frayed wire, but the jaw "bobbled." I posted it after a little research and started the sale at 150.00, but my brain said make your Buy It Now ridiculous. The Buy it Now was $500.00 and it sold in 27 minutes for $500.00! I have been up and running and stoked ever since then! I feel great being back in my "groove," and I'm glad you are doing so well. Gold and silver can help you make eBay your playground and help you store real wealth ... eBay is by far the worlds biggest coinshop for a reason . My store is just a hobby ..... that pays ........ I don’t even look at it like work ... it’s like a photography hobby for me ... some pictures just pay more and I love ❤️ taking pictures of silver and gold coins . It’s like my way of keeping all my coin supply on my cell phone ready for trading . And it calms me down
I need to raise my prices. How did you decide the price for the army backpack? I prob would have ended up selling for 15. I need to price higher. I just made 7 k on eBay after feees in one month using silver coin ... it’s how I’m building a 40 k dollar account the fees suck for new accounts silver and gold help make ebay your play ground
I think the prices that people set on eBay are cheap. If I look something up for resell, It always goes for more money on any resell site, Amazon, Poshmark, than it does on eBay. I seen a pair of jeans going for 79.99 then I go to eBay. eBay was like 35 and 45. I wish people would set their prices a little better on eBay.

Don’t just be a seller be a boss shop actually make sure your store holds value other than just clothes and retail items ... the perfect 👌 hedge for a store is gold if your items don’t pay you that gold and silver can and will
When you ship international make the buyer pay all shipping. I ship to Europe and Australia occasionally and it costs around $70 for my heavier items so I always make the buyer pay it.
PrisonEarth heavier items ship for a lot less using GSP. If you are referring to her Puerto Rico sale, she must have had a fixed rate on the listing instead of calculated bc PR is not international, but it would be like Zone 9 from her.

Exactly! It takes hundreds of listings for me to get consistent sales 😅 and I generally only expect .5% to 1% to sell a day! ❤️

Awesome! Have you ever (I'm sure you have) sold Gudrun Sjoden? My mom and I found a nice navy embroidered top at our thrift store--we had 9 watchers and a sell in just a couple days for $35. Definitely not a bad bread and butter item to keep an eye out for and a brand we'd never heard of! :)
